"We've purchased 2 bikes
from these folks and it's always a pleasure to walk in the door! They are
truly happy to see us and not just hoping to sell us something. In no time
everybody in the shop was calling us by name. Our "home" dealer is closer
by an hour, but we still prefer Wilkins. There is a lot to be said when
you\'re dealing with a family-owned dealership." - TW 02/06 "I just
purchased a motorcycle from Wilkins and was very impressed by their
honesty and integrity. If anyone has seen a progressive commercial where
they give you their competitors rates, this is similar to Wilkins
philosophy. I knew their competitors prices and was ready to disclose to
see if they could match someone close to them. They provided me with the
information on how they work and that they wouldn't get into the bidding
game. They refused the offer to see what their competitors were selling
the same motorcycle for (a little higher at Wilkins). They knew their
staff would take good care of me and my motorcycle and in order to do that
they had a fair price. I thanked them and left to think about this. The
competitor called me several times asking me what I needed to buy the
bike. They were even willing to drop their price again. This to me was
desperation. After speaking with a friend of mine who bought a bike at
this competitor, I went back to Wilkins and bought a brand new motorcycle
from Barb and John. I paid a little more, but I understand why. The way I
am treated when I walk in the door, you would think I had bought 10
motorcycles from these people. My friend has been bringing his bike to
Wilkins for service and says their technicians are very detail oriented
and trained. They have a customer for life with me and I think my buddy
as well." - LI 04/06 |

"This dealership operates with deceptive sales practices, overpriced $1500
to $2000 over MSRP depending on which model you are interested in. They
push Harley financing. Dealership is in turmoil, owned by a partnership of
out of State residents who spend little to no time at the dealership.
Dealerships GM is partners Son in Law. One of the partners has owned
questionable MV dealerships in another state for years. Stay away from
this dealer!" - BF 02/06
"I just purchased a new Street Glide at GMHD. Just did some warranty work
on the bike. They came and picked up my bike, had it for less time than
anticipated, and brought it back to me with all the items corrected.
These guys are trying very hard to change the reputation of the
dealership. They matched the price that North End HD in Plattsburgh gave
me, and although they are a bit steep on some of their parts, overall the
dealership seems to be providing good service and reasonable prices.
Something we've needed in this area for years." - KS 03/06 |
