SHELDON'S H-D
Auburn, MA

"4 visits. Friendly salesman, Tony, let me test ride a FLHTCI. _Nice_! They have some '99 models on floor at about MSRP + ~$3K.   No pre-orders.  Black FLHT and FLHTC came in 2 weeks after my 1st visit.   I really wanted this to be my dealer, if _only_ they'd drop their prices a couple grand!" - BW 7/99

"Finally scoffed a Deuce. Auburn H-D. Price was about 3100 over list. Used your site to get a feel for the market, numbers, etc, thanks, got a lot of use out of it. Now I'll be checking out your links. Keep up the good work." - PH 2/00

"Not only does Sheldon's in Auburn, MA charge $2500-$4000 over MSRP for bikes, they're now marking up some parts and accessories, 25% over MSRP!  Give them what they deserve ... nothing!" - BL 4/01

"I went to Sheldon's HD to check out their prices. I asked the salesman what the MSRP was for a particular HD. He said " I have no no idea they don't tell me those things." That's a verbatim quote. He did have a retail price list on his desk and when I asked him how much the stunning, new, V-Rod  would set me back, he consulted the list. I was looking over his shoulder and I saw the Sheldon feculator price in black and white. $25K!  MSRP 16,995 or thereabouts. I'll be getting mine elsewhere.  I do want to say this in their favor though. Parked in their lot is a fleet of most HD models available to test ride. You heard right. Test pilots are welcome at Sheldon's." AD 9/01

"I went with a friend to pick up some parts. The service from the parts dept. was excellent. The Sales dept. was different adventure. Earlier that day, I had been called by, and drove up to Tibby's HD in Springfield, Ma. I was offered a Two-Tone 2003 Anniversary FXDWG that suddenly became available. The quote from Tibby's seemed to be about $1000 over MSRP (At least according to the Harley website). Just by chance I had the quote with me when we went to Sheldons. On the floor was a 2003 Blue FXDWG. I would have preferred the Blue Bike instead of the 2-tone, so I asked the price .... It started at over $20,0000 ... for a bike with an MSRP of $16,310, plus the alarm and freight ($490) ... $16,800 total. I showed him the quote from Tibby's. after 5 trips back to his "General Mgr.," he flat out told me he couldn't match the price. Note ... The MSRP on the Anniversary is $1,000 more than the Blue Pearl so matching the price was no deal. Eventually he offered me the bike for $19,000 including 5% Mass Sales Tax and a few other perks thrown in (1000 mile service, Hog Membership, Etc.). backing out the tax, this still would have left the price of the bike at roughly $2000 over MSRP. I said no thanks. These folks were not rude or negative in any way ... they were just overpriced. There is another local dealer ... TSI Harley in Ellington, CT, who sells their bikes at MSRP ... no additional markup. I'm ordering from them. I'm in no rush as long as I get the bike I want." - KM 05/03

"Dealer still gets 2500-3500 over MSRP for bikes on the floor.  I took out a demo bike, and will buy the bike from another dealer. I would not buy a new bike there.  Parts department is very helpful, and knows their job.  I recently (May 2004) went for an inspection sticker, service dept would not pass me due to pipes THAT THEY SOLD AND INSTALLED on my bike.  A buddy had a similar problem because of bars and lights that they sold them.  Thank God for aftermarket shops, I'll not go back to Sheldon's.  The convenience of having a part in stock does not make up for not standing by their work.  I've been riding Harleys for 16 years and when the "fad" of owning a Harley is over how will dealers like Sheldon's survive?  Take care of your customers NOW when the T-Shirt-motorclothes-fashion show is over we will remember. " - JT 06/04

"How do they get away with it? Being my first Harley purchase and looking for the best deal like everyone else in the U.S.A. I went to Sheldon's to inquire about a Dyna Wide Glide. Now I'm not an idiot and do my homework and research before I go and buy anything that has a big dollar value to it. Immediately as soon as I get there I meet a salesmen, good guy, and I tell him what I want, and we look and touch and feel. So now comes the big question, How much? Holy crap!.$20,000 for a 2004 and 7.94% Harley Financing. Immediately I thought I left the (I'm a Moron sticker) on my forehead. After I started feeling better after the kick in the nuts ,I asked why so much? We'll he says" Don't say anything but I might be able to get it down to $18,900. So I said I'll let you know and left and drove to Leominster as fast as the Vette would go. To make this short and to the point, I bought a 2005 Dyna Wide Glide for $17980.00 and 5% financing right from Harley. Gee I wonder who was going to pocket the the other 2.94%? Anyway I will never ever go back to that place as long as I'm alive and kicking." - SM 07/04

"The last time I brought my 96 Softail in for service, I pointed out that the engine was making a very noticeable rap which the service writer heard. The next day he called, wanted to know what kind of racing cam and racing gas I was using. I told him the cam was stock, and the gas was Texaco pump gas. The next day they said it was ready. When I picked it up, I asked what they found. They said there was nothing wrong with it, and it's normal for it to make noise. I asked if they could at least take the cam cover / rocker boxes off and check, the answer was ride it till it gets worse or blows up and they couldn't do anything with it anytime soon because they were too busy accessorizing new bikes. That was just one of about 4 episodes with their "service department". I never went back to them again and never will. After writing several times to let the owners know that I was unhappy with the service I was receiving, I never received one letter or phone call in return from them." - FF 12/05

ALDO'S H-D
Bernardston, MA
"Great dealer to work with – will call before making any repairs not authorized on work order.  Friendly knowledgeable staff and owners. Treats all (male & female) with respect. Have moved to Florida but will buy my next bike at this dealer." - PC 01/03

"In August '02, after trying  to get a commitment on a 2003 RKC at several dealers in CT with no success, I stopped at Aldo's. A young lady would gladly put my name on a FLHRCI expected for delivery in November after a small down payment and their price was better than any others had quoted. Of course I agreed! When I stopped back in early October, I was told my bike had just come in. WOW!  Accessories were purchased from another young lady who showed interest and patience with me. On delivery day,  a service guy carefully (and patiently again) went over all the bike's controls and functions and insured that I had loaded it properly in my trailer. When I made the 115 mile trip back just before Christmas for some presents for my bike, I was given  the same courteous attention. I rate this dealership ***** ! They deserve the Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence!" - WR 02/03

H-D OF BOSTON
Everett, MA
"Call/visit. Salesman told me all bikes at MSRP + ~ $2K.   Pearl '99 FLTRI on the floor was $19,190.  No other '99s on floor.   2000's are pre-ordered for next 6 mos." - BW 7/99

"I am buying my 2000 FXD for about 2200 over MSRP. I feel like It's a rip off but at the same time I feel like it might be worth it. They're offering a three year extended warranty and discounts on parts and labor to be added prior to pickup. Nice people too, they were always willing to answer any of my questions. I guess paying that much over MSRP is OK under some circumstances." - BH 9/99

"Went looking on Wednesday for a Softail Deuce. Was quoted 18,500 for a two tone. On Friday HD sends out a memo cutting back on allocation to all dealers on the Deuces, price went up to $20,600 for a two tone Deuce. Put down $500 for the $20,600 Deuce, still no guarantee of price or bike. They said I can get my money back no hassle if I go somewhere else, but, there's no place to go for a Deuce, might have to look at alternatives. In my next life I'm coming back as a HD dealer" - PH 12/99

"I recently purchased a 2002 night train from this dealer. I had a very good experience with the sales person, and would recommend them highly. Although there prices are between 1500.00 to 3500.00 depending on model over the MSRP, I paid 1500 over for my night train but I drove off on it 2 days later with upgrades (screamin eagle slip-ons and a dyna jet kit, and stage 1 air cleaner kit) I received free t shirts and have 10% off of apparel in the store for 1 year. I am pleased considering I didn't pre order the bike I wanted, I walked in on a Wednesday and drove out on the following Friday." - LD 06/02

"I searched for a New 2002 FLHT for the best price knowing I would most likely pay over MSRP, I just didn't want to pay 3-5K over as allot of the "Stealers" are getting.   I live in MA so I checked MA, NH, ME, CT and NY only to come back to HD of Boston.  I was happy to deal with a local dealer that I was familiar with and the staff was great (Very helpful, No BS & No Attitudes) I paid $16300.00 for my FLHT with spoke wheels best price I found, In stock, No Pre-Order.  They kicked in a free t shirt, inspection sticker and 10% off on purchases of some new gear.  I would definitely recommend this shop, They made the experience a pleasure here as well as getting the scoot serviced." - KB 08/02

"I had visited another dealer before walking into Boston HD, and started to look around. I had asked a few questions and received an 04 brochure. When I asked the prices, they were way over MSRP. I decided to drop by Boston HD one day, after fully researching the bikes I wanted to look at. Upon browsing, without any pressure, only smiling faces who were willing to help if needed, I began to ask about the prices. I was shocked as the salesman pulled out a sheet, which was basically the brochure I had, only wrapped in a plastic sleeve. He told me the MSRP costs, which I knew, and after a few minutes and many bits of info later, I left. But, I soon returned, grabbed the same salesman, and began a great relationship with Boston HD. I bought an 04 Road King Custom, and ended up building the bike of my dreams, which started out at MSRP, affording me the chance to go crazy with changes and add-ons to the bike. I take delivery this week (delivered to my house by the salesman) and am lo!  Looking forward to a long history with Boston HD. EVERY person there treated me with respect and have all become friends to us. I highly recommend Boston HD!" - AC 03/04

"They were advertising a sale on September 11,2004 for about a month on the radio. Everything in their inventory was going to be 15 to 65% off or something to that effect, not select inventory, etc. Everything. I even heard the ad again on my way there. It's a long haul for me and I wasn't sure I wanted to go but for even 15% off it was worth it because I needed shocks, a cover, saddlebags and a new exhaust. I called before I went but they could not answer the phones in the parts department because they were too busy. I decided to go anyway. I got there and there wasn't any parking except down the road in a supermarket parking lot. I walked to the dealership and was not allowed in with a pocketbook so I had to walk back tot he car and leave it and come back with just my wallet. Then they had a room full of parts on final sale, cash only but that was not advertised and you wouldn't know what fit what unless you were doing an exact replacement or were a technician. That sucked. I went in to the parts department expecting at least 15% off but NO that wasn't the case. No discounts. A lot of people were there and very disappointed at the misrepresentation they had heard also. You were supposed to get everything "for pennies on the dollar, biggest clearance ever" what a joke. Anyway, very disappointed will never do business with them. Went to Kelly's got treated like royalty and everything was about 25% less than Boston's prices. Except bikes, Boston was cheaper by a landslide." - KP 09/04

"This was my first purchase of a H-D and I was apprehensive about the process, but after talking to many of my rider friends, I settled on Boston H-D, from the moment I walked in the store I was made to feel at home, everyone greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed any help, my salesperson was great and put up with me asking the differences between, and the prices of many different models, I ended up paying MSRP for my bike, which was by far the lowest price I found at any area dealer,  and was able to also purchase pre-paid maintenance from the finance office, of course I bought some clothing and chrome and everyone there was happy to help me out, when I picked my bike up the delivery coordinator went over the whole bike with me and didn't even laugh at my many questions, the service department even offered to store my bike for the winter, I would highly recommend Boston H-D to anyone here looking for an easy and friendly buying experience." - BJ 09/04

"This spring I was in the market for a new bike.  I knew exactly what model I wanted (Deuce) and I knew roughly how much I was willing to pay for it.  I checked this website to find dealerships that sold bikes at or even near MSRP.  After calling ahead to find out about bike stock at 4 dealers in MA, 1 dealer in RI and 2 dealers in CT, I decided to make my rounds and see what type of trade-in I would get for my 2002 XL1200c that had about $2700 in aftermarket parts, an extended warranty and 8,000 miles on it...the bike was in showroom shape.  Boston HD offered me $6,000 for it and wanted to sell me a deuce for $21,000. What are they all on Crack?  I spoke to not only a sales associate, but also the sales manager and walked out pretty annoyed.  I ended up going to Easthampton HD and getting $8,750 for my sporty and paying $18,050 for my fuel injected '04 Deuce.  I will never so much as walk into Boston HD again, and will advise everyone I know to do the same." - JB 10/04

"I purchased a 1 year old Electra Glide which included a dead factory radio.  The radio had power, but no audio.  When I took the bike to Boston H/D in for them to look at, they ran diagnostics.  The service manager said it was a dead amp circuit board and asked what I wanted to do.  He noted that I would need a new radio.  I was shocked.  I questioned why a $900 radio would have user diagnostics and not be repairable.  It just didn't sound right.  He then said that maybe I could go to a car stereo place to try there to see if they could put a car radio on the bike - knowing that I wasn't going to go that route.  He then tried to sell me one of the mechanics radios, which I declined.  He later approached me and said that he had just found out that I could get a radio core swap for $85 from Radio Sound, the manufacturer for Harley.  And this was a Service Manager telling me this.  It was the last time I had service done there. Why would a radio include user diagnostics and not be repairable.  He then said that I could maybe put a car radio in it.  He then told me he would ask the mechanics if they have a used core." - PP 02/05

"Wanted to buy a bike as my Honda Shadow was long gone and I got the bug again. Always wanted a HD, but didn't think I "fit" the HD rider profile. I was apprehensive about going to the dealership, but once I got there, the female sales rep was great. Introduced and congratulated by all involved in the store after my purchase, and not made to feel like a dweeb b/c I bought an 883! Since then, I have had GREAT experiences with buying Rinehart exhausts, new seat, and on and on. The parts people are great, the apparel people as well. Installation of the pipes took about 10 days, but it was just when they were prepping bikes after winter storage, so I didn't mind. Haven't a bad thing to say about them at all." - BM 05/05

PARAMOUNT H-D
Framingham, MA

"I needed a part for my 86 FLT-C and went to Paramount but they were closed. Walking up to the door to read the hours the owner saw I had some parts in my hand. he let me inside ,checked stock and not having the part called his R.I. store. I had the parts the next morning. Thanks Paramount!" - DL 04/02

"I'm new to riding, and needed some good boots and a bike.  Paramount had a huge selection of clothing and very a helpful sales staff.  Also got a 25% discount on the boots.  No complaints there.  The bike prices are a different matter.  Harley's 'entry-level' bike that fits me (Sportster Custom) lists for $9155.  Paramount's price is $11,400, a 25% premium.  This is not much different from other Mass dealers.  I can't imagine what the 2003 bikes will cost.  I like Harley's and want one, but I'm not a rube.  The V-Star Yamaha has and does everything a novice needs for under $7K.  Sorry, no sale Paramount." - MF 07/02

"I purchased some parts at Paramount H-D.  When I found they were defective, I returned them, expecting a refund.  I was told that their policy was store credit only, no cash refunds, (I was, of course, offered a full credit on the spot).  I spoke with the Parts Manager, who politely explained the policy.  He also pointed out that it was clearly displayed on signs at the registers, and was even printed on my receipt.  He said he'd make an exception this time, and he gave me a refund.  I've since had my bike worked on there, and was satisfied with the service.  I actually met with the owner of the dealership about the policy and he was respectful and polite but firm in his commitment to it.  In the future, I'll probably be careful before buying parts there, given the no refund policy." - DG  11/02

AMERICAN H-D
Leominster, MA

"Call/visit. MSRP + $1K. Pre-order, $500 down($100 refundable) to get on list for model/color.  About a year wait for baggers." - BW 7/99

"When I put my Y2K on order back in early June of 99 I was told 6 months to a year (max) to get my "Heritage Softail Classic". I called them a few times of the year and was told the bike order would go out in January and I could expect it around March, April May the latest. Now they tell me end of August early September and it wont be a 2000 but a 2001 instead. This really burned me up. So I talked to the owner "Phil" who told me how sorry he was, and how he tells his sales people not to make promises.. bla bla bla.... Anyway he told me I could take my full deposit back and go somewhere else if I wanted to. A lot of good that will do. Any tell your readers not to believe everything they tell you.  Ps. Keep up the good work. I hope this information helps others from the %$^& I had to go through." - MP 2/00"Great service dept. at American H-D, especially if you have a Sportster. The Service guys ride Sportsters and treat you just like any other customer. While I was treated as a lower life form at Kelly's in Billerica, I have always received great service at American." - AC 3/01

"I Recently purchased my first Harley, A 2002 Fatboy from this dealer. I had no prior dealings with this dealer. From the time I walked through the door and met the owner and his daughter till the time I took delivery, I have been treated like one of the family. I picked out accessories from the parts book with a very knowledgeable parts man. I had the parts installed in a very timely manner by an excellent service department. Overall I am very pleased and I would definitely send anybody to deal with this dealer. That's how I found out about them "word of mouth." - EB 02/02

"Just bought my first HD from American. 2002 Roadking Firefighter Special. You cannot beat this place. They are the best." - BM 03/02

"I contacted American for some parts.  The gentleman I spoke with was extremely nice and friendly.  Although my sale amounted to only $9, he wasn't dismissive!  He also took the time to provide me with information that other dealers didn't want to take the time to go over.  Because of his overall attitude, I ended up purchasing a bevy of other parts--over $300 total.  Even though I live in New Hampshire, I'm buying all my parts from American.  I couldn't recommend them highly enough!" - JJ 04/02

"I've been rebuilding an old Sportster for some time (too long) and a buddy recommended American for advice, parts and service. They have been very helpful and are clearly a cut above the other shops I've done business with. The parts dept. spent a lot of time assisting me with all sorts of stuff and I've seen them do it for anyone that comes through the door." - CV 06/02

"I bought my Wife's 2002 FXD last June from American and they are fantastic. Walked in on a Thursday and had $2500 worth of stuff put on & was ready for pickup by that Saturday. The OWNER & ALL the Staff are GREAT to work with & very helpful. I traded my 97 FXDWG in on a used 99 FXDWG and got a GREAT deal. EVERYONE should check them out before buying elsewhere." - RC 02/03

"Just wanted to say I just purchased a 2003 883 Hugger from here and the sales staff could have not been nicer. Bike was in stock and gave me a discount on riding accessories. Was a very good experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a bike." - NM 05/03

"I bought my first Harley (04 xl custom) from American. The experience was nothing less of excellent. They treat you like a real customer and have the best prices bar none. Can't say enough about this dealership other than there's a reason why they have such loyalty...they do it right, from sales to service." - BN 07/04

"All I can say is this Dealership is AMAZING. I never in my 48 years of life been treated so well as I was at American Harley. Every person at that dealership is top notch. Friendly, Polite, Smart, Helpful and ready to serve the customer in any way. No pressure sales. I dealt with Fran and she is the best.... period . American will have my business for life no question. You have to go there if you want the best deal and to be treated like a human being instead of a walking checkbook.. I just can't say enough about American. I love this place." - SM 08/04

"I have been looking for a great bike at a reasonable price for a few years and have been to many Harley Dealers. I stopped in at American and will never go anywhere else. No pressure sales staff, great parts department, and the service department is second to none. When I selected my 04 Fat Boy a one of the mechanics took me around to several different models and explained the differences. On top of that, because I bought it in March of 04 it was still a bit cold, they delivered it to my garage, about 30 miles away. In addition I get a 10% discount for life. I will never go anywhere else. A classy operation." - CB 08/04

"I can not say enough good about this dealership. I purchased my 2003 Fatboy from them on an impulse buy at the end of July 03. I took a friend in for service and ended up buying my 1st bike from the best people Harley has.  The parts dept is better than any other dealership in Mass. The service is top notch. This bike was stolen in July of 04. I purchased another one at Brian's HD in Langhorn PA. only because American did not have the 05 Fatboy in stock that I wanted.  When I came back from PA with my 05 I wanted some add-ons, The folks at American treated me as though I purchased my bike from them. I received discounts on parts, they worked with the aftermarket service plan co from my first bike and secured me a full refund. There are not enough nice things you can say about these people at American other than THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, if all business operated like them it would be a much nice world." - SB 03/05

"This dealership is the best in the Central MA area. It is run by honest hard working down to earth people. I bought a motorcycle from them for thousands less than the other dealer \"down the road\".I had to wait a few weeks for it to come in, but it was exactly what I had ordered. The other dealer wanted an extra $500.00 if what I wanted wasn\'t in stock and they claimed that the factory alarm system was standard equipment on all the new models which was not true. At American they go out of their way to help." - FF 12/05

KELLY'S HOUSE OF H-D
North Billerica, MA
"Call/visit. Didn't talk to salesman. The black '99 FLHTCI   on the floor  was MSRP + ~ $2K + ~$1K worth of accessories (chrome, etc)." - BW 7/99

"I went into Kelly's in Billerica looking for a new H-D Ultra. They didn't have any 2003s available, but they did have a 2002 on the floor. They agreed to take care of some minor issues I had with the bike and I agreed to purchase and gave them a deposit. In the process, the salesman made a mistake on the sales agreement. Things like that happen, but they were more than willing to make things right  and take care of the problem. As with most dealers in New England, they normally charge somewhat over MSRP. Still, their prices weren't nearly as bad as those quoted by other dealers and they seemed to genuinely believe in treating the customer right. Don't expect a price break, but don't expect the typical "if you don't like it, there's the door" attitude either." - BK 10/02

"I went in to look at motorcycles. No one paid any attention to me. If not for my friend who took me in that had a motorcycle he was waiting to pick up I don't even think they would have said Hi. The second time I came the owner walked up to me and said in an agitated voice "what are you going to do?" I told him I wanted to purchase the bike I had previously looked at. he called a salesman over, walked out the door, got in his truck and drove away. Since the purchase I had noting but problems with the Bike. To make a long story short the service dept. had no idea what they were doing and even at times accuse me of doing things to the bike. the problem persisted 3 times over several months and I eventually went to Harley Davidson of Boston. They immediately knew what was wrong with my bike because it WAS A FACTORY RECALL that all dealerships had been notified of. They fixed it  and the problem never came back. Everyone at Kelly's has a bad attitude and doesn't seem to know what they are doing. All three of my friends that bought bikes there had similar problems. We all now got to different dealerships for our parts and service. I can't believe Kelly's is still in business. No one I have talked to has anything good to say about them." - MG 06/03

RONNIE'S H-D
Pittsfield, MA
"Very good buying experience. Best price I could find around New England, on a new Fatty. Zero pressure, informative, friendly, and big selection. Ronnie's staff the experience fast and simple. Would return, despite the 300 mile ride -snubbing several other stealers along the way" - F 1/00

"I bought my 1999 883XLC at Ronnie's and kick myself in the butt every time dealership talk comes up. When I realized the price was $1,250 over MSRP, I was quickly told that their bikes come with a 4 year warranty as opposed to other dealerships standard 1 year. I then decided it was worth it.  Well, lo and behold, after a year went by, I developed an oil leak. I blew a rocker box gasket. When I took it to be repaired, I was told that gaskets are not covered...only "integral parts" of the engine. And for every warranty repair, there will be a $25 charge. I refused to be raked over MORE and went to Easthampton Harley, explained my problem and they fixed it for FREE on the spot!!  Easthampton HD is the only place I will ever go." - DB 04/02

"Ronnie's continually sells bikes for 20 - 25% over MSRP.  They quoted me on a 2003 Fatboy which I purchased two days later at Brunswick Harley-Davidson (Troy, NY) for 25% less.  Don't every buy from Ronnie's without shopping around.  They have had a reputation for doing this for many, many years." - GT 04/04

H-D CYCLE CENTER
Pocasset, MA

"No MSRP. No used bikes. They also sell Titans. No Thunder Press. No HOG discount. If you want a discount (10%) you have to join their discount club for $35. They refuse to sell oil in gallons. Only dealership on Cape Cod and it shows. A friend bought a new Roadking from them. On his invoice he was charged $25 for an inspection sticker. 3 of the 4 parts I bought recently were 25% above MSRP. When I commented that the $30.50 was listed as $20.50 by HD, the parts guy said, "that's our price. You want it or not?" - NB 4/01

"I got my 1200 Sportster from here. The price was great and the people were nice but they were not as friendly as American H-D in Leominster where I got my wife's. I don't have any complaints but they are just not as friendly as American." - NM 06/03

"Last year I visited H-D Cycle Center and requested a 5k service check on my 2k FLSTC. At first I was given an appointment that was within a 2 week timeframe, as the service rep filled out the information form and learned that I had not bought my bike there he recanted the service date and said they could not get it in for 4 months (end of the season). I told them what I thought of their policy and left to never return." - MH 09/03

EASTHAMPTON H-D
Southampton, MA
"Great folks! Got my '99 WG there for list price, not a cent over. They do have strict regional limitations, and will only sell to people within 50 miles of their location. If you're lucky enough to be able to deal with them, I highly recommend it.  They do a first-come first served deal for their whole allocation, all in one day. You need to find out what day this is (in early August), then go and get in line and hope that when your chance comes that the bike you want will be available. My experience has been that there aren't many unhappy customers.  I have a 10% discount on all parts and accessories for life. I'll take it." - JK 5/00

"Doing business with the people at Easthampton H-D was and continues to be very pleasant and rewarding. I was offered a new 2002 FLHTCI for $330 over MSRP. Saw the bike Sat afternoon when it was being unpacked and took it home on Thurs. The shop is the cleanest and neatest I have ever seen.  Everyone I dealt with acted as if they wanted me to be a customer for life. I receive a 10% discount on any parts I have bought there. I have had the first 2 scheduled services done there and the bike comes out cleaner than it went in. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a Harley." - RK 12/01

"Bikes are at MSRP, service is spectacular and un-matched anywhere. The showroom is the biggest I have seen, and the service area is clean and bigger than most stores. I regrettably didn't buy my bike there, but the people are so nice (only dealership I go to), they give me a 15% discount on everything; a service that is only given to people who bought their bikes there. I plan on buying an FXSTS in the near future. I give you one guess where I will buy it at." - DB 04/02

"I purchased a 2003 FLSTS from them and hold their sales and service personnel in the highest regard. I got a price that was right at MSRP. The owners are the most courteous people I've met in ANY store.  Their customer service is second to none. They even took the time to chase down a replacement zipper pull that had broken on a jacket I purchased there. Their service staff is kind, quick, efficient and on time. They all take the time to explain things.  Their service manager is a gem of a guy.  Too bad all Harley dealerships couldn't have a service manager like him. - RR 04/04

"I wanted to say I went there today and felt I was treated poorly. I felt as though I was not going to get financing from the get go. I don't blame them for not getting financing but they truly looked relieved that I wasn't purchasing the Electra glide I set out to get. I was shown the bike and waited 40 minutes to be told see ya. I was left standing in the showroom with no update and I truly feel as though they wanted me to leave. Well I will get my BIKE no doubt. Don't waste the ride   there unless you got a boat load of money and wear a suit. What a wasted 2 hour ride. This truly left a bad taste in mouth and I'm not sure but maybe Victory will talk to me." - CJ 11/04

"Since I bought my Electraglide Classic here in 2002 I have had all scheduled service done here and there work has been outstanding, they really treat you well. I talked to them about more horse power for passing situations when fully loaded. The service manager and head mechanic made some recommendations to me and I told them to do the work. I got to ride the bike last Thurs and could not believe it was the same bike! As the new cams and jugs are not broken in yet I was not able to really get on it but I could tell that they had done the job I wanted. I am very pleased with the results! They really know what they are talking about. Now I have to wait for spring and its going to be a long wait! You cant go wrong with this dealership, they do a great job and treat you as if they want you to be a customer for life." - RK 12/04

"We've been shopping for a Softail Standard. While it is a $14,000 bike, we've gotten prices as high as $16,810 plus tax and reg. That was until we went to East Hampton. The owner quoted us $14,870 plus tax and reg. Can't beat that. Was also told by other dealers that we couldn't do spring delivery. Not at E. Hampton, told us if we put a deposit by Jan.15,we would get our bike in April. We're from CT and we are gonna take the ride to MA to purchase our bike." - MZ 12/04

TIBBY'S H-D SALES
Springfield, MA
"Purchased '00 XLH 1200.  Charged list price. Wait list was about 6 months. Sales manager Mark Nooney takes the art of the laid back sales approach to new levels." - KB 4/00

"I had already purchased my '99' Sportster at another dealer before discovering Tibby's, but joined the HOG. Chapter there afterwards. Talk about discounts on parts & accessories; all Chapter members get a 10% discount on non-sale items and on the Chapter meeting night you get 15% between 6-8 p.m. All the staff is great and will go out of their way to help no matter what type H-D you own. Sales & Service personnel are great too!" - CM 5/01

"500 over MSRP.  There is a waiting list (for the 2002 FLSTF), and without a charge to be on the list.  But you will have to physically go to the dealership and fill-out the waiting list form.  The guys seem to be willing to answer all your questions." - JE 6/01

"I went to Tibby's to see about getting an '02 FLHRCI.  I spoke with the salesman,  is nothing but honest and pleasant.  I filled out a card, and he estimated 7-8 months for delivery.  No $$$ required to place the "order".  Price will be MSRP plus Delivery + Set-up.  The whole ride home all we talked about was how friendly everyone was there and how nice it is going to be to do business at Tibby's.  And if you aren't looking for a bike, stop in anyway.  They have an excellent selection of clothes and accessories!" - JC 6/01

"Walked in to Tibby's with my wife, immediately after leaving my doctor's office on crutches.  One salesmen actually came over to me to find out if I wanted to sit down. Every question I asked was not only answered in detail, they answered by showing me the differences on several bikes.  I then looked at a Sportster just out of the box. The mechanic I spoke with was great. When I popped the question to the salesman (How Much?), I was blown away.  I expected what all the other dealers quoted, namely $1000 to $1500 over MSRP.   This guy gives me a price that was MSRP.... period! Trust me, when I'm able to walk, I will walk right back to this place and place my order.  If he has anything close to what I want, I'm writing that check on the spot. " - JC 8/01

"After checking out the other dealers in my area I decided to take a two hour drive to Tibby's and give them a shot at selling me my new Harley. Within 15 minutes I realized this is the place and put down my money on a 1200 Custom. Everyone I dealt with made me feel like I was the owners best friend. Check this place out. It's worth the drive." - KL 12/01

"After fairly disappointing visits to dealers around Boston, my wife and I made the 100 mi. drive to Tibby's.  Everyone there from the GM down to the people at the counters was friendly, courteous, and helpful.  The price for my '02 V-Rod was MSRP plus about $750 for freight, prep, and transfer fees. They even sent someone to take care of my registration.  When I went to pick up the bike with a trailer they looked at my tie downs and gave me couple of new ones because they didn't want me relying on the flimsy ones that I had. As long as I live within 200 mi. of them Tibby's has my business." - SY 06/02

"I just purchased my second new Harley in the past two and again the only choice in my opinion was Tibby's. The 2004 Night Train listed for $15,300 and I purchased the bike for $16,025 out the door. Foolishly I called quite a few dealers in my area for price and availability only to once again find that Tibby's had the best price by far. I would recommend this dealer to anyone. Sales, service, price, and personality is a ten." - KL 04/04
MONTY'S CYCLE SHOP
W. Bridgewater, MA
"They never charge a dime over MSRP. Old family dealership. Lottery system. Trade-ins go on a priority list and get first picks." - JM 2/00

"Sells at MSRP, using a "lottery" system, but, only residents of Southeastern Massachusetts are eligible to participate." - JM 3/01

"I purchased my '96 Nostalgia from Monty's. They did and still do utilize a "Lottery" system for new bike sales, and do have an area in which they limit their sales to.  Bikes sold at MSRP.  My experience was great from start to finish.  I had a few minor problems in the first year, and they always were able to squeeze me in to fix them.  They are a great bunch of people and extremely fair and honest." - JC 6/01

"Fair and Honest Shop, They have been selling HD's for MSRP since long before Harley's got popular with the yuppies. they take $500 refundable deposits on following year models from July1st until July 31st. that's it ! So the other 11 months they are Service and Parts." - EO 11/01

"Yet again, Monty's has gone above and beyond my expectations!  I inquired at Monty's about ordering one of the limited edition models that Harley will be offering this spring.  Although they had most of the information for me before I came in, I had a few additional questions.  The person that helped me went out of her way to call Harley direct and get all my questions answered.  What a great people to do business with!  They are committed to their customers and carrying on the Harley legacy - NOT just earning a buck! I just picked up my 2002 Ultra Classic Firefighter Edition from Monty's.  It was hassle free from start to finish.  Thanks again to everyone there!" - JC 06/02

"These guys are great!  Rode my bike up there yesterday to pick up some parts. After getting there I noticed some oil coming from my main feed line off the oil tank (Braided) where it connects. I went inside and said I had a small emergency. Head parts gal came out to have a look. Told me to wheel it back to the garage and one of the mech's would take a look. She then looked up the H-D braided hoses. Instead of selling me the whole kit. I would only have to buy the one line that was damaged. Wow! Mech came in and told me he fixed it. Monty's got me back on the road in a flash. Right on!" - MH 03/04

"Bought an '05 883C in Sept.  They use an annual lottery system.  Put your $500 down in July, pick your model and three colors.  They pick names first week of August based on how many of each model they are getting.  Shipments come in four times a year.  Cost is MSRP + freight ($195) + $100 set up. First service (1,000 mi) is free. When I did the lottery I was told no set up fee, but when the bike came in they said they had to pay the guys out back for the two hours.  Oh well.  Also my bike came in with the wheel option I didn't order, but they swapped wheels with another bike they had, no problem.  All in all, they are very nice, usually very busy.  Never got a hard sell or a hard time from anyone. Definitely recommended." - AS 12/04

"Good experience with new '05 FLHTI.  MSRP (They did inform me of the setup charge up front.)  They also give 2 hours free labor towards any installations at time of purchase in addition to the free 1K service.  Unfortunately, they do not do MA inspection stickers. Definitely would do again." - RL 02/05

BIG BOAR H-D
Westport, MA
"Big Boar is selling bikes at $3500 over MSRP. They don't charge any more for a black bike or a two tone model. They are all $3500 over MSRP of bike model with  black paint." - JM 01/02

"Don't expect to go in if your a women and be treated like you might know what your taking about." - MF 10/04

"Big Boar sold me my 2005 Electra Glide Ultra Classic for $1,000. under MSRP. in August 2004. Waited a couple months for the bike of choice and color. I had called several dealers and talked to friends before the purchase. Liked the "no Bullshit" comment when I asked about paperwork charges or dealer prep., the manager gave me the price and that is what I paid! Staff was professional and courteous. When I called for my 1000 mile service they were booked solid, but they gave me an appointment and squeezed me in. Bottom line: this dealer is 60 miles from my house, others are closer but wouldn't think of changing!" - MF 11/05
