"I ordered a 1999 FXST from Big Red's HD in Oct99.
The price I will pay is MSRP + a few 100 for setup etc. Bike should be
here in February 2000. They have recently moved into a new building and
are similar to other HD dealerships. Lots of clothes etc. I'm pleased with
dealership and they seem to be fair. He does sell at MSRP, BUT, if you
sell that bike to make a profit and the dealer finds out about it, He will
not sell you another bike. Makes sense to me" - RS 11/99
"We sell our bikes at MSRP with $350 included for set up and
shipping. Currently, we are not receiving enough motorcycles from
H-D to satisfy our local demand so we rarely sell out of our area.
Buells are another story. We sell Buells worldwide. Our service
department is staffed with experienced factory trained technicians, our
work is guaranteed and our equipment is state of the art. We service older
bikes too. I hope you never have a disappointing experience with H-D
/ Buell of Bloomington, but if you should please contact me personally. I
want to know about it. Compliments are also welcome. If you are
ever in our area please stop in. We look forward to seeing you." - HD
of Bloomington 1/00
"According to a well-known biker magazine, readers have sent in
letters claiming that this dealer sells bikes at or near MSRP."
"Bought a bike at a decent price. Their service is the worst
I've dealt with. (five dealers) They misdiagnosed my bike twice.
They damaged my bike twice. I informed the dealer of the problems
and told him I wouldn't publicize this until he had a chance to make it
right. He hasn't made it right in over six months. I would
never buy here again or have my bike serviced here. Their service
manager has changed three times in less than a year." - VT 4/01
"I
have looked at our records and we have never worked on an
individuals motorcycle at this dealership with the initials
"VT". If this situation had occurred and had the anonymous
cowardly author "informed the owner" as he claims I would have
certainly remembered it. I can also assure everyone that if
something like this had happened it would have been quickly resolved.
Hopefully, the fact that the nameless writer claims to have used
five different H-D service departments and that we have no customers with
the initials "VT" raises a red flag. I am very proud of our
service department. Our Service Manager has worked for the
dealership for 15 years and is a Master PHD. All of our technicians
are experienced, well trained and honest individuals which is more than I
can say for the gutless "VT". Our overall H-D Customer Service
Satisfaction rating for 2000 placed us number 23 out of 620 dealerships or
in the top 4% of dealers nationwide. In fact, we recently received
H-D's coveted Midwest Service Dealer of the Year award for 2000. Obviously,
the majority of our fine customers do not share the same opinion as the
spineless "VT". I hope you never have a disappointing experience
with H-D of Bloomington, but if you should I want to hear about it
personally. We truly do pride ourselves on providing our customers
with an extremely high level of quality service. VT, if you want to
prove to the world that you are not the ball-less wonder you appear to be
please stop by the dealership and let's talk. My door is always
open." - Jeff Stevens, Owner, H-D of Bloomington 4/01
"Bloomington
H-D has given me great service on my new bike plus fair prices on
accessories. Very helpful on which products to use for the type of
riding that I will be doing. They make the decision making process
very easy. Thank guys." - RN 4/01
"After
having my 2001 FLHRCI, 3500 miles, stolen on a Canada trip,
Bloomington H-D got me fixed up with a new 2002 quick. The salesman,
which I have dealt with in the past, is great to work with - a hard
worker. This is the only dealer I will have work on my bikes because for
10 years it has been done right and on time as they have said. They are
another H-D family member to me." - RN 7/01 "Just wanted to
share my experience with this dealership. True MSRP pricing, the owner and
staff are great to work with. After another dealer I had ordered a bike
from tried to shaft me on my trade in, I called Bloomington H-D and they
had what I wanted on the floor... at MSRP." - MJ 02/02
"H-D of Bloomington sells bikes at MSRP plus $675
freight/ prep/ documentation on a FCFS basis. They also told me that they
only sell within a limited distance (70 miles?) of Bloomington. Very
friendly staff. Former sales manager/current general manager mentioned
several times that, "Buying a bike is supposed to be fun!" Nice people to
deal with. Very good, active, local HOG Chapter." - TR 08/03 "Couldn't
find a new Road King in my hometown so I called them. They said they had
one and would sell it for MSRP plus freight and setup and held it for me
for a week until I could get down to see it. They then added the parts
and accessories I asked for at 10% off based upon a handshake deal to buy
the bike. I picked it up a week later. Of all the new bikes and other
vehicles I've purchased, I've never been treated better by any dealer." -
RS 08/03 "Purchased my second bike from these guys. They couldn't have
made the transaction any more friendly and smooth than they did. Can't
speak for the service department, as I wrench my own. No hassles. Standard
doc- prep fee for all bikes except Sportsters (a little cheaper)." - JD

"Ordered an '02 Road King Classic (NOT at MSRP), at that
time they told me my trade in was worth $12,500. When the bike came in, they
picked my trade in apart and offered $7500. This is not an isolated
incident, several other people have reported the same "lure" used on them.
Needles to say I went to another dealership and bought off the floor at
MSRP." - MJ 02/02 "My two sons and I have purchased 6 new bikes from this
dealership and have found them very professional and helpful. Even when I
had an older Sportster that was purchased from an individual they were
willing to help with advice or service. I never visit this dealership
without friendly greetings and their willingness to help." - JF 08/03
"I own two Harleys, neither of which was purchased from Mann's. Lately, my
FLHTC has been giving me a lot of trouble, which means it has needed a lot
of service. The guys in the service department are honest, prompt and take
the time to explain what they did and why. Their service rates are higher
than other dealers but they do a great job. For service, I will certainly
recommend them to my friends." - RB 04/04
"This is a great dealership to do business with. I just bought a used FXR
from them. Talked with them first about this bike two weeks ago, but was
unable to make it to Indiana until yesterday. The salesman was real
professional and accommodated my lack of time to pick up the bike. There
were bikes on the floor, new and used, new ones being sold for the MSRP.
Great experience overall, highly recommend." - AU 09/04 |

"Was quoted $17500+TTL for FLHRI with pearl paint.
$17875+TTL for FLHTCI with pearl paint. Told me to call back after 1/00
for availability. Didn't have a problem selling 100+ miles out of his
area." - TH 9/99 "I'm about to buy my third Harley from them. They not only sell for
MSRP, they also are willing to take good care of the customer after the
sell." - TW 08/02 "I've been doing business with this shop since I
bought my first Sportster in
1998. A friendly, clean family owned shop. The few times I've had problems
with my Sporty's (can you say rocker box???) they made sure, especially
Lou
Jr., that my bikes were fixed fast and correctly the first time. The bikes
are sold at MSRP. If all business's, no matter what they sell, were like
Gerencer's, well life would be nicer. Service work has been done correctly
and neatly every time. Highly recommend this shop." - DO 12/02 "On
the way to a funeral in Kokomo, IN I had the misfortune of breaking the
drive belt in Goshen, IN. Called the Elkhart Harley Dealer.
They were too busy to help!!! Couldn't even tow it and store it.
Found an Independent in Goshen that loaned us a truck and trailer, let us
store the bike for 2 days... NO CHARGE! I heard the dealer in Elkhart is a
mega dealer? That true? No time for travelers? We got Chrome, but can't
get ya home?" - MH 06/03 |

"Family owned for 40 years - have bought 4 bikes last 19 years.
Purchased '99 FLHR for MSRP + freight + prep, included break-in maint. Some bikes have
accessories added, some don't. Sells at MSRP + F/P + extras if added. Keeps a
list of interested local buyers, but pretty much FCFS and tries to keep the locals
happy. 10% HOG discount on P&A to local active members using point system for
activities." - BL 7/99 "In August of 2000 I was making my first trip to
Sturgis. When I stopped at the Indiana/Illinois border my bike would not
restart. I tried to call the dealership 40 miles down the road in Illinois
to no avail. I called back 40 miles to Bud's about 5 minutes before
closing. The parts manager brought me the piece I thought I needed and
when that wasn't the problem loaded my bike into the truck and brought us
back to the dealership. He dropped me at the hotel nearest the dealer and
when I showed up at 9 am the next morning my bike was just inside the shop
door ready to go. I can't say enough good things about the people I met at
Bud's H-D. They are the perfect example of why I switched to Harley in the
first place. If your ever around Evansville, stop by and see them. It's a
beautiful dealership run by a great group of people. My hat's off to the
entire staff." - CW 2/01
"They draw names out of a hat. So after a few weeks of
checking for a bike that was the color I wanted needless to say I was
surprised it hadn't been taken yet, so I jumped on it & told them to
hold it for me, no problem they held it almost a week. Nothing was ever
said about them not accepting a out-of-state bank check when they knew
from the start that's what it was & don't say they have a
no-out-of-state bank policy. The financial manager wouldn't even talk
about it. In calling a local bank they wanted to know why the final price
was so much higher than their book price. Anyway I asked dealership if
they send me a fax of the options it had. In looking at the fax there was
a charge for a option of $400.00 that was for paint upgrade (what upgrade
it's the standard Chrome yellow) called salesman & he wasn't quite
sure but that it must be a special color? This dealership is very
inconsistent, and has ruined what was to be a happy first Harley buying
experience for me, I still want the bike but I am not happy about
having to buy it from them." - JW 6/01
"OK as I understand it now the price for HD is for a black paint if it
comes w/any other color they charge for it. I understand that it is a
sellers market & other than the $400 the dealer didn't jack up
anything else, not much over MSRP. I now have my Sportster and love it,
nothing else compares that I've owned. I don't want to put a bad light on
Bud's they were fair except for maybe the out-of-state policy as it turned
out I benefited more going local. My purchase was a happy one in the end
& everything worked out." - JW 7/01
"I purchased a new 04 FLHTCSE from Bud's HD in
Evansville, IN. This was my forth HD motorcycle purchase in the past two
years and this was by far the best purchase experience I've had so far. The
prices, unlike the dealers here in metro Atlanta, were excellent. As I
understand they sell most new bikes for MSRP. There were no junk fees like
set up charges or requirements to purchase accessories and no pressure to
finance or buy an extended warranty. Just good people with helpful
information to help make decisions that were right for me. Everyone I met at
the dealership was courteous and helpful. The dealership is top notch with
just about any HD related product you can think of. It was a 850 mile round
trip drive to buy from these folks and I would do it again without
hesitation. Great prices, great selection and great customer service. Two
thumbs up!" - LW 10/03
"My '03 FXDWG was placed on the floor with
about $1900.00 worth of extras/replacements added. My understanding is that
with bikes that are fairly popular or a bit scarce Bud's usually adds extras
or adds $1500.00 to the price of the bike, to be used as credit towards
extras for the bike. I understand they do occasionally sell bikes stock, and
for list price, but I have not seen many. At least they do give you
something for the markup. With that said, you will be greeted cheerfully,
and politely assisted in your purchase. Everyone in every department is
courteous, and eager to help. Their service and parts departments are honest
and helpful. You will have a positive experience here." - DM 10/03 |

"Wouldn't sell new bikes out of his immediate area.
Wasn't too thrilled with gouging Stealers. Claimed to sell at MSRP" -
TH 9/99
"I bought my bike there ('99 RK Classic), took delivery in July of
'99. Jim sells on a lottery basis (you pick model, color, etc.), have to
show up on the designated day to get one entry. Sells his bikes for MSRP
plus factory mandated shipping and prep charges, no required parts and
accessory purchases. Told me that the Motor Company was pressuring him not
to sell out of area. An old-style honest dealership where the owner sits
in his office with the door open and swapping stories with anyone
who wants to listen." - MT 1/00
"I ordered a 2002 FXSTI the first week of June 2001 to be here
9-1-2001. No problem it was part of phase one & nobody had their name
on it , sat down with the owner & he just put my name on it that was
it. bought at MSRP, brought my deposit in 3-4 weeks later. Today I decided
to buck up for a Heritage classic called & they had one available (FLSTCI
with security system) for the same delivery day. No problem. I feel real
comfortable with them (I will feel even better when it comes in). I will
post update." - RJ 7/01
"Cannot say enough nice things about this dealership. The owner
was very helpful BEFORE I even bought anything from them. I contacted 41
dealers looking for the bike I wanted. The owner advised me on what kinds
of questions to ask, etc. Finally, ordered the scoot from them. Paid my
deposit July 23rd, 2000. Picked up the scoot Sept 1. Parts manager is very
helpful, knowledgeable. During the "Grand Opening" service took
my bike in to check a brake problem. Thirty minutes later I was ready to
go. Great dealership." - TD 8/01
"Dealt with owner, got bike off the floor at MSRP with no pressure to buy
accessories. They made me happy!" - TB 05/03 "Talked to salesman on
Thursday to verify that 03 FXSTDSE was available and made appt to see it
on the following Sat. Told salesman I was from Illinois (5 hours away) and
was assured they would sell to me. Received price of MSRP plus $580 F&P.
Made sure salesman had my cell phone # and left Friday night. Spent $80
bucks for a hotel room for my wife and I only to be told the next morning
at the dealership that that the Deuce had been sold Wednesday or Thursday.
Took me 30 minutes to find my salesman and all he could say was "yea, its
gone but you want to look at something else?" Pretty used to rude people
but this took the cake...Owner even said he would have sold it to me but
it's gone, if I run across another one I'll call ya....yea right." - GS
09/03 "I have a 2002 FLSTC that I asked J. Bailey's H-D to re-jet the
carb and install a Arlen-Ness big-sucker air cleaner, the service manager
recommended a Yost power tube and after picking up my bike, I am very
glad he did, bike runs extremely well and I feel this dealership is very
honest and worthy of all my future Harley needs. Also they had cleaned up
my bike and the price was very affordable. A big thank-you to Jim Bailey's
H-D." - MH 11/03 "Spoke with the owner before purchase and after
hours. Very impressed with time and attitude received. Everything about
the order and pickup of my bike went flawless and both salesmen helped me
throughout the process regardless of who I initiated the sale with. They
stayed late one night to complete the sale and get me on my way safely.
The accessory guys were very efficient in getting my mods that I requested
done when the bike came in. The sale was easy and by the numbers at
MSRP. No hidden fees or problems. I wish past car purchases went this
easy!" - JJ 03/04 |

$2,000-$3,000 in accessories and labor. If you like the accessory package
you can take one home the same day. Sales are FCFS. The guys in the parts

"I was recently quoted a very good price for a new rear tire and
ran over to take advantage. The problem was the meathead quoted me the
wrong price for the right tire. A $40 error. Of course nobody remembered
talking to me. I didn't even do any fist pounding on the counter and the
parts manager sold it to me for the quoted price. $40 isn't going to kill
you but anytime you come out ahead at a H-D shop it's a victory." -

"This shop is a block from where I work, so very
convenient for me. I've never bought a bike there, but had mine serviced a
few times and was very impressed with the service department. In and out as
promised, on time with friendly service reps. If they had had the bike I

business with them for over 25 years. I have found them to be not only
friendly and have a knowledgeable staff but to have something I've seen
lacking in other dealerships, ethics and real concern for their customers.
If you ever get the chance to stop by do so, say hello to the owners. I

"Bought a new Lowrider, price was jacked up a
thousand plus but they gave me a very generous discount on the couple of
thousand dollars worth of accessories I added and no labor charge to
install. In addition, my first service was FREE. All in all, I
think it worked out to be pretty close to MSRP considering all the extras.
Not to mention they are super nice people and my husband really enjoyed
the free tin of cookies they sent us a month or so later. They
obviously sell outside their area as I'm from south central Indiana -- in
my opinion you can rate this guy a Dealer." - MJM 3/00
"I am not sure about policies-but on 5-6-00, they had a FLHTCI for
20,000 plus and a FLHTCUI for 21,000 plus on the floor. These bikes were
for sale and had zippo for extras-so I'd say that's about 4,000$ in
mark-up." - RB 5/00

"Did not buy my bike from this dealer, but they have treated me like
I did. Same discount as one of their new customers because they did not

with 2700 miles on it, black, laced wheels and no extras. He said "we sell
our bikes at MSRP" and "that bike is
priced to sell". The price was $14,995. Steal or Deal....you decide. I did
buy a helmet and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I passed on the
bike." - JR 03/02 "While on a cross country motorcycle trip, my
wife’s 2000 Low Rider backfired through the carburetor when she started it
at a gas stop just north of Indianapolis. Then it stalled and would not
idle. It would run if we pumped the throttle and it would run at speed.
We consulted the HOG map for local dealers and saw that Eagle H-D was 40
miles away and was on our route. We limped to Eagle H-D where I was
greeted by the Service Manager. I explained our problem and he immediately
wheeled the bike into the service bay where a mechanic started to work on
it immediately. It was about lunch time and we asked about local
restaurants. The service manager gave us directions and offered to loan us
a bike to get there. When we returned from lunch, my wife’s bike was
fixed. The back fire had blown the carburetor loose and when it reseated
it cut the intake manifold gasket. The work that they had done was
thoroughly explained and all replaced parts were returned to me and the
charges were very reasonable. They made a problem go away while we enjoyed
lunch at a local restaurant. We couldn’t have been treated better." - KK
07/02 "My 2002 Deuce was rear ended causing
extensive damage to the bike, including the frame which had to be
replaced. I did not purchase the bike from Eagle, but they treated like I
did. My man behind the counter was great, he coordinated all the ordering
of parts and kept me informed of what was going on. The tech was did a
fabulous job. He put everything back exactly the way it was, and even
fixed a couple minor items I had forgot to tell him about. I wouldn't
hesitate to let them work on my scooter again and recommend their service
department highly." - JR 08/03 |

"Sells at MSRP, using a lottery system to Indiana residents, you
pick the model and color, no extras required. Unfortunately the more you
add you're name to lottery, the better your chances. So you almost need to
go there every day to get in. Does give a 10% disc. on P&A to
Hog & Abate members" - TH 11/99
"They sell at MSRP via a lottery system. Each year they start a new
lottery on June 1 for the next years bikes. Between June 1 and mid-July I
put my name in 13 times. I got called on their first (or nearly first)
shipment. I got the bike I wanted (FLHRCI) in the color I wonted (black)
near the end of August. They are great people to do business with. I
highly recommend them." - CT 9/01
"They treated me like family the first time I walked through the door.
Everything they told me was the truth. They sold at MSRP out the door,
gave 20% off parts and accessories at the time of sale and a 10% HOG
discount other times. Harley should require all its dealers to go to
Marion and learn how a dealership should be run." - MM 10/01
"I have never bought a bike from these folks, but they have treated me

means a lot to me, since the dealers that don't, and their are many in
Indiana that don't, Have not got any more of my business since I found
Slone's H-D. When I go to buy a new bike, I will remember the dealers like
Slone's, who were good to me before I bought a new bike from them. Of all
the dealers in Central and Northern Indiana, they are the best, and I've
been to all of them." - MH 12/05 |

the bike prices are outrageous. I think the bike sales is temporary until
they can sell enough to prove they need an allotment. They're tapping into
the Honda market too, can't wait to see them start gouging the prices on

They also let me pick which order to place my bike in. All this and they
did not even want any money down. The sale guy (Tex) was very patient and
informative when I was trying to decide what to buy. I have dealt
with the parts guy (Dave) he was very friendly and extremely helpful.
These two make a good combination and restore my faith in customer
service." - JP 5/00 "My first bike, and it was an awesome pleasure to do business
here. Salesman, didn't make me feel like a schmuck for buying a Sportster
like other places had. I found the bike I wanted right on the floor, made
my plea to buy at MSRP, and will say I got a great deal. No pressure to
buy any extras, although I am positive I will soon. Everyone in sales,
parts, service, and to the great lady who handled my paperwork. These

seemed very friendly, somewhat knowledgeable, (and kinda cute!) but she

first street bike. Same respect, paid msrp,10 % off parts for a year, and
a month after sale they called me by my first name." - DK 09/03
"I wanted a new (2004) Night Train but no dealers in my area (close to St.
Louis) would sell it at MSRP or had it in stock. I called salesperson at
calumet. The bike was in stock AND at MSRP. Entire process from start to
finish was fast, efficient and friendly. I will do business with them
again. I also recommend this dealer to anyone for new or used purchases."

INDY-WEST H-D

"West Indy has an excellent service department, clean and helpful
staff. On a cross country trip I developed a serious oil leak.
Terre Haute dealership told me good luck when I called them from a rest
stop 20 miles out. West Indy said get here by 4:30 & we'll look at it
today. Long story short is it was an inner primary leak. Not only
did they get me in, repair the primary and a slew of other nick picky
items the GM even got me a reduced rate at a local hotel. On top of that
they give a HOG/ABATE discount. If you need service on the road, this is
the kind of response you want. If this is how they treat out of town
customers with old bikes I can only imagine how good they treat the
locals." - KL 10/01
"I bought a 03 Softtail standard off of this dealership in 2/03. I went on
my first ride a month later, the bike would miss out through carb. and
die. took bike back to dealership they adjusted carb. picked up bike did
the same thing, took bike back in they changed intake gaskets, picked bike
up problem getting better but still dying, (s.m.) contacted corporate they
said it had a "lean cough" that all carb. models will do it because of
emission controls. Was told by salesman, (s.m) to just put on pipes and
hi-flow air cleaner and the problem would be fixed. This is terrible, you
pay 15k for a H-D m/c and are told it will not run right until you pump
another 1k in to it? I made the offer to the dealership that I would pay
50% and they meet me at that and we will put on pipes, they chose to treat
me like crap, that's ok cause I will now help them with publicity. If
there are anybody else exp. a "lean cough" with their 03 CARB. model I am
talking to a lawyer about a class action law suit against H-D We do not
have to take bad public relations from any dealership or corporate. Indy
West I was willing to work with you on this problem but you chose to
basically call me a liar and tell me that my bike did not have any
problems and H/D corporate you chose not to call me back the district
mgr. chose not to call me back, so now I will start my campaign against
both of you." - DM 06/03
"Both the owner and salesman were VERY
pleasant to deal with, right from the get-go! I ordered a new FLTR at
MSRP, they put on the accessories I requested (and no others!), and had it
ready to go on time. I've since been back twice for services and they are
efficient, friendly and it's easy to get an appointment... in and out in a
morning! I would recommend this dealer to anyone. Very honest, fair and
right across from a Cracker Barrel so you have a place to wait out your
service!! :-) I pass two other H-D dealerships that are not customer
friendly on my way to Plainfield ... so guess where my $$$ gets spent?" -

"Was quoted $17,185 for a FLHTCI with pearl paint,
out the door. Has a one year waiting list. Tries to sell in his
area." - TH 9/99 "Just purchased a 2003 Anniversary Gun Metal Pearl Fatboy
from these folks! WOW is all I can say! This is the second Fatboy I have
bought from these guys and the transactions were nothing but great!! The
whole bunch are awesome. Thanks Guys! Sold the bike at MSRP, gave me a nice
shirt and included a 1 year membership to their local HOG Chapter. You
could not ask to be treated any better. Looking forward to having my new V&H
pipes installed at the dealership. Service Dept. is great! I would buy from
them anytime...definitely DEALERS!" - CJ 08/02 "I just bought my new 2004 Ultra Classic last week from
these folks, at MSRP I may add. This is my 3rd bike from them and all I can
say is that they are a real class act. I had a 2003 Fatboy Anniversary
Edition to trade in and the owner was more than fair on the trade-in price
and they had all the extras in stock for my Ultra that I wanted. The service
dept. had all my extras installed in a professional manner. I bought the
bike on a Monday and picked it up on that Wednesday, ready to go. Bike was
washed , waxed and setting in front ready to be delivered as promised. They
even gave me a year membership with their local chapter and a really nice
t-shirt. They took the time to go through the whole bike with me, and could
answer all the questions I had. I have to say thumbs-up to these folks, they
are truly DEALERS. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new
bike or super service! It was a real pleasure to purchase from them
again! Thanks to all the guys and gals at the H-D Center in Richmond. I wish
I could list your names, but you know who you are." - CJ 10/03 |

"I ordered a Y2K Classic, pearl paint, F.I. $17800
plus tax, that includes prep, freight, title, etc. No mandatory accessories. $500 non-refundable deposit. Nice guys, told me it should be
here in 3-4 months." - BG 9/99
"Talked with the owner, he gave me a price for an E-glide Classic
that was a tad ($500 or so) over MSRP after set-up, freight, etc. The
price did include 3 major scheduled services though. No mandatory
accessories required but the wait could be up to a year for certain
models. Very nice staff, very helpful and down to earth." - TH 3/00
"Mac has been in business for 40 years. His business grew
out of a post WWII vicinity into a prime location. He's one of the
friendliest and nicest gentlemen I've ever met. If you are in South Bend,
Indiana. Stop by and visit with Mac and his family run business. I'm sure
he'd enjoy a cup of coffee or soda with you." - RW 12/04
"I bought an
'03 Wideglide there and they have always treated me right. I took it in for
my prepaid (at a great deal) checkups and they did a super job. At the 5K
check, without me mentioning my clutch was dragging, it was set right and
now I can find neutral stopped, as well or better, than any bike I have
ridden in over 30 years. So I am very satisfied with their service
department and would not hesitate to buy from them again." - RL 07/05 |

WABASH VALLEY H-D
Terre Haute, IN, 47807

"I have dealt with Wabash Valley a total of 4 times and have had
the same terrible service and rotten attitude from the same individuals
that work there. If you are looking at buying a new bike then they will
knock themselves out to help you out of your money. If your trying to get
parts for your older bike or have questions, then forget it. The fact that
I needed parts right then and there is the only reason I tolerated them
but not again. I have taken my business to Bloomington and they are the
nicest folks to deal with. I will continue to visit Bloomington H-D just
for the simple fact of not giving my business to Wabash Valley. Do
yourself a favor and stay away from Wabash Valley, they are only in it for
the new sales and nothing else." - PG 6/01
"Called about a bike that I saw advertised. The salesman told me it was
sold, took my name and number and said he would see what was coming in and
call me back. He called me back about an hour later and said he had an
FXSTD coming in the next day and quoted me MSRP. He held it for me for a
week no questions asked. The salespeople were great, the deal went smooth
and I am very happy. I would have no problem buying another bike from
these folks." - JR 03/02
"I stopped in while passing through town. They were friendly even though I
wasn't looking to buy anything. Big place with several bikes on the
floor." - TH 06/04

"I was in there on 11/15/99, they had 3 Softails priced at
$23,000, they had maybe $1,200 in extra chrome? I just bought a Softail
with $3,000 in extra chrome $18,500 Cant believe this place is doing this?
Salesman says that's what there going for, so that's what he selling them
for!" - GB 11/99
"What can you say about these guys. They're known as the Piranha
Bros. and not just locally The staff is friendly and helpful but the bike
prices are ridiculous. A typical new and or used bike will be decked out
with several hundred bucks worth of un-necessary chrome do-dads and the
price is jacked-up $5k-6k over MSRP." - TH 5/00
"If it weren't for the extreme price gouging on their bikes,
except the Buell Blast, this would be a great dealership. The
P&A salespeople and the service people are excellent. I live 3 miles
away but because they price gouge on bikes, I'll travel the 75 miles to
buy stuff at a different dealer." - PS 2/01

"We sell at MSRP. We are also on a deposit situation. You should get information
from the owners or employees. not the public. Hell I could e-mail you
information about any dealer. Would that be fair. Please update my website
or please take it off your information site. We offer %10 to hog members.
We recently had our 50th birthday.
thanks" - Brandt's H-D 10/99
"Visited Brandt's and talked to the salesman. They sell new bikes
off of a list which is sold out until 2002 except Sporties. A $500
refundable deposit is required to get on list. You pick the model and
color. They had about a dozen used bikes at decent prices. Salesman
was a nice guy, he seemed honest, there's something new." - TH 11/99
"Gave these people $500.00 deposit to get on list for a touring
bike. Three years later, still no bike. Called them, they said maybe
another year, unless I took an odd colored one they had that had been
passed over. I said OK. They charged me $850 freight and set up. I
squalled!. They said take it or leave it. Said that was their charge to
everyone. Was told later that was not true. I did get the free
"T" shirt. Haven't been back since." - NN 12/99

"FCFS, adds unwanted accessories to up the price
before they hit the floor. Was told that a FLHTC would run about $20K" - TH
9/99 "WOW, Can't say enough about Kersting's store
layout and knowledgeable staff. Sales, Parts, Clothing and
Service all have wonderful people who greet you with a smile and know you
by name. It's the little things that they do to make it worth your
while to shop there. From the free coffee and chat table to the
awesome collection of antique bikes. They sell to anyone and have
bikes on the floor ready to buy. I left my local dealer for
Kersting's and have no regrets!" - MS 3/01
"I went to Kersting's H-D to buy a Used part, and not only did I
get it at a decent price, but The Owner spent over an hour talking to me
and showing me around, WOW, although I like the other stores in my area,
Kersting's is #1. He had new bikes on the floor and in storage, and
the price was marked on everyone. I will be buying my next bike from
them." RC 7/01
