CYCLE NUTS & BOLTS H-D

"According
to well known motorcycle publication, this dealer sells new Harleys at or
near MSRP" "Was riding from Oregon to Boise and back on a quick 2 day trip.
When I got to Boise I had blown a baffle in my muffler and realized my bike
was leaking oil like a sumbitch. Called them the next AM, took the bike in
at 10:00am rode it out at 4:00. They redid my oil lines, fixed the baffle in
the pipes, changed my rear tire, AND washed my bike. Total bill was <
$400.00, and the bike's not leaking oil any longer. I was impressed -- and
they sent me a Christmas card this year. Good folks." - MC 3/00 "I just bought a Road King from this dealership, and all I
can say is what a pleasant experience it was dealing with these guys. I
don't know what it takes to move up from the bronze wrench to the gold but
in my book they deserve it!! These guys are definitely Dealers not
stealers." - MM 02/01 "I just purchased a
new Harley from Cycle Nuts & Bolts because they were the only dealer I
could find from Montana to Seattle that would sell for MSRP. They
stuck to the deal we made on the phone and they were friendly and thorough
in the sales process. No arrogance whatsoever as I've found with a
dealer in the Spokane, WA. area." - JM 5/01 "Recently had the
pleasure of procuring a 2002 Road King Classic from Cycle Nuts &
Bolts. I was initially quoted a 12 month lead time; however, actual
delivery was less than 5 months. They were very quick to incorporate
aftermarket parts and accessories prior to delivery with a 10% discount,
including a last minute tachometer add-on. The best part of the deal
was the price at MSRP (plus the shipping and setup costs). The whole
experience was pleasant and professional. Local dealerships in the
Seattle area just can't compete." - KC 8/01 "I purchased an '02 FXDL
from this dealership in October of 2001 at MSRP + freight and setup
(approximately $200). I had to put down a deposit and then waited 11 months
to get it, but based on the deal I got and the service I got, I was very
pleased. I would definitely go to them again." - TT 08/02
"I
purchased a new 2001 Fatboy from Cycle Nuts and Bolts at MSRP a couple of
years ago. The deal was over the phone, and to this day I am pleased with
the service, price and product I received. The salesman was great. He and
I have crossed paths on the road, shared breakfast and stories. I live
hundreds of miles away from CN&B, but stopping in on my way through the
Boise area is like going home. I have since sent a couple of buddies to CN&B
for new purchases, and they too were pleased." - CK 02/03
"I just bought a new 2004 Sportster 1200c from cycle nuts
and bolts, and was very pleased with the sales staff. I am a first time H-D
owner, and they really made me feel like one of the "Family". Thanks to all
of the staff!" - JP 05/04 |

GRAND TETON H-D

"2000: $16,395 (MSRP+1000), $1000 refundable
deposit. Sold out till spring" - PL 1/00
"I've never bought any big ticket items just really friendly
people. But, the shop is worth a look just to see park that the
owner has put together in back of his shop. Last I knew they would
even let you throw down for the night back there. Just make sure you
tell them, otherwise the automatic sprinklers might come on during the
night" - Q 1/00
"My buddy and I were coming back from Sturgis. We stopped outside
Jacksonville WY and then his bike wouldn't start so we push started it and
made it into Blackfoot HD. The service guy stopped working on the bike he
was working on and started working on his bike took him about 10 minutes
to find a lose wire. Oh yeah this was on a shovelhead! We checked out the
dealership (no boutique here), then the way cool park out back and we were
back on the road. real people at this dealership." - VM 5/00
"I am a current HD owner. I went to the Grand Teton Dealership today
and they had a 2001 Heritage Softail that I wanted to purchase. I
live in Idaho (approximately 3 hours away) and they refused to sell this
bike to me because I was not a local resident. I am extremely
disappointed in their service and the fact that they would not sell to a
HD owner in the State of Idaho. I will continue to do my business at
Cycle Nuts and Bolts in Boise where I am not discriminated against and
where the customer is always treated fairly." - MK 5/01
"We at Grand Teton H-D and Buell are brand new owners and will do
everything we can to serve "all" customers to the best of our
ability. Our standards are high yet realistic. As we grow (and learn) I am
confident that our local customers will know they are valued members of
our family and our traveling visitors and passers-by will have wonderful
experiences when they drop in to visit our dealer family on their way
through to Sturgis, Yellowstone Park, Sun Valley or Jackson Hole.
There are many considerations a dealer principal has to make when it comes
to whom you will sell what motorcycles to and for how much. Our prices
reflect the value we place on long-term customer relationships. We sell at
MSRP plus freight, set-up and delivery. We are aware that many dealers
charge thousands of dollars more than this and respect their right to do
so. Because customers also have the freedom to choose, some pay those
prices while others seek better values. On occasion (every day) we receive
calls from customers from those other markets asking about motorcycles.
This puts us in a difficult position that I feel is worth explaining. Our
Decision: We chose to sell our new motorcycles to local clients who
deserve a local opportunity to purchase them for a fair price. Because our
prices are fair, customers from around the country want to purchase from
us. When supply increases and prices adjust down will they still travel
across the country to buy a motorcycle? I think not. If we sell to them we
will not have enough supply to serve our local client. When given the
difficult choice between selling a motorcycle to a local customer within
our market or someone from anywhere USA if makes more sense to serve our
local customer who we can establish and maintain an ongoing relationship
with through our Dealership and HOG. We receive a couple hundred
motorcycles each year. We know we could sell every one of them to
customers from other markets who either don't have motorcycles available
at their dealership or would have to pay high market prices. We agree that
it is unfair to those customers who we say no to but much less fair to our
local customers if we let others have the bike they want. Until we had
enough bikes to meet all of the local demand we chose to restrict our
sales to the local market. Due to increases in allocation, we are reaching
out to customers across Idaho and into portions of Montana, Wyoming and
Utah. For questions concerns or expressions please email me. dale@tetonharley.com"

"My friend who is a Harley fanatic (currently rides an RK) swears by
this dealer. Drives way out of his way to get his bike serviced here. On
my one visit, staff was friendly, showroom was very sparse (two bikes, and
I'm not even sure if both were for sale), good selection of
parts/accessories, knowledgeable staff, fair selection of motorclothes.
Their parts and service dept, at least on my visit, seemed to be their
forte." - KA 05/02
"I didn't buy from them, but have had a service done here and have consulted
with service and salesmen on several occasions. Clean set-up, very friendly
staff. Typically have a good selection of bikes on the floor. I really have
enjoyed their service dept. Friendly, fair, and informative. Good supply of
leather jackets. Salesmen at times would bypass me (I suppose I didn't look
the part of a buyer, which I was) and drift toward the RUB-looking types.
One two occasions in the store the salesman wouldn't leave the computer to
ask if I needed assistance, then jumped up to the RUB-looking couple who
walked in (I'm clean-cut and 37, but look younger than I am and was thus
bypassed). However, salesman was very friendly and informative for those who
passed his appearance test. Overall, they are staffed with friendly people,
excellent # of bikes considering store size, friendly service personnel,
fair number of accessories and motorclothes, clean showroom and well
laid-out." - KA 05/02 |
