FLINT RIVER H-D
Albany, GA
"Visited Flint River H-D this weekend. BEAUTIFUL dealership.  A lot of customers were riding in with easy access and a lot of parking.  Nice big window into their LARGE service area from the back of the store.  Pretty good selection of Harleys/Buells.  Great selection of Motorclothes, parts and accessories.  Unfortunately, they must be trying to pay for this nice big store as quickly as possible.  VERY HIGH prices.  Way over MSRP.  Out the door price for a 1200 Custom with no accessories was over 12K.  Dyna’s 19-20K.  One beautiful, black Deuce around 21K.  Nice place to buy clothes, meet up for a ride, etc.  Decided to go back down to Gainesville H-D in Florida.  Read my comment on Gainesville H-D." - RR 6/01

"Was involved in a collision with another bike at Biketoberfest, and carried my RKC to FRHD for repair.  Was told they would get right on it, and then gave me the runaround for a week. I had planned to have them install SE Stage II while in the shop, and they wanted me to pay for the parts before they would even order them.  After much BS from them, I went back and picked my bike up.  They could not understand why I was upset. Took the bike to Macon HD, and got great service. They actually do what they say they will do." - DM 05/02

"I live 20 miles from Albany and would prefer to do business with this dealer and I have tried.  All I can say is High prices and unfriendly people. I will continue to drive 80 miles to Macon where the prices are fair and the people are just good folks." - KB 05/02

"Flint River H-D has been a great dealer. I purchased a 2002 Heritage Springer from them and a few months later my eldest son purchased a 2002 Fat Boy. Flint River had the best prices that we could find in the State of Georgia. They give you a good price and you ain't got to buy a bunch of stuff to seal the deal. Everyone there has been super friendly and helpful in every way. The service department did a jam up job on my initial 1,000-mile service." - JP 08/02

"Purchased my 2003 FLHT from FRHD on Saturday.  Great Dealership, Great family business.  Traveled from the Atlanta Metro Area to purchase the bike. Well worth the two and half hour drive for the savings. Just a little over MSRP which is great compared to the Atlanta Dealerships that get thousands over MSRP.  I found FRHD on the web where their price were actually post next to pictures of the bikes, I then flew down just to check out the dealership and to make sure the internet website correctly reflected the advertised products. The FRHD owner picked my up at the Regional Airport and drove me to the store which is about eight miles away. He introduced me to the family which operates the dealership. I was able to inspect the bikes on the spacious floor at my own pace without a salesman breathing down my neck. The dealership is large and clean. FRHD offers a customer great hospitality and a super deal from courteous personnel. I'm passing the word in Atlanta, "Buy your Harley in Albany. It's worth the trip". - DS 01/03

"I have done business with FRHD from the first day they opened. Actually dropped by before they opened and was treated royally. Never changed. Purchased 2002 RK for my self and the first V-Rod is SW GA for my wife. They sold my FXDX. Referred friends to them and have never heard a complaint." - CD 02/03

"I had bought a 2002 Wide Glide from this dealer 1500 over msrp Now I want a 2003 Electra Classic and went to trade in my WideGlide after 2 weeks of talks with the Bosses son he said he would give me 15 GS for my glide and sell me a Classic for 18999 which was cool with me but when I went in to put a 1000 deposit down he blew me off saying he's got to many wideglides now and he could not take mine !!! This bozo cost me several weeks and no deal would not even go there for a oil change now." - MO 06/03

"I bought a 2004 Sportster 883 from these guys back in September of 2003, and have been completely satisfied with their service.  Highly recommended." - JW 06/04

"I would like to announce that our Service Department is undergoing a complete transformation. We have a new Service manager and alot of changes are being made at this time within our Service Department. I am extending an open invitation to come by and visit with us and check out the changes. If you have had a bad experience with us in the past, we would like to apologize and invite you to stop in and give us another chance. I think that you will be pleased with the changes. Thanks for your business in the past and we look forward to serving you in the future. Ride Safe." - Flint River H-D 10/04

"This dealership is close and I do use it. It's hard to ever get a comfortable feeling in this dealership because every time you go in there are different faces. Different service mgrs., different parts mgrs., even different general mgrs. After replacing all the dept. heads so many times you may get the idea that the problem may be with the owners. I also get the distinct impression that the owners think everyone in South Georgia are ignorant hicks. That attitude could be catastrophic." - KB 10/05

AUGUSTA H-D
Augusta, GA, 30909

"According to well known motorcycle publication, this dealer sells new Harleys at or near MSRP"

"Augusta Georgia is the place for Harley Riders to buy their bikes.  Just bought my new Springer Softail from here.  MSRP plus freight and tax.  Good price!!  The whole process went very smoothly.  Sales and service people were very good. New store to open in May. Second generation Harley shop owner that gives very good advice." - CG 02/01

"I am a Florida resident nurse living in Georgia for the summer.  Got my first bike from Augusta, although I live in Savannah if that is a hint...2001 Sportster Hugger out the door for $7255.  Then I had to pay Fla. state sales tax (6%).  We were treated very well.  They installed my windshield complimentary (of course I purchased it there).  Took 4 mo to get my bike. Hubby just ordered a new Roadking from Augusta....we're pleased and don't mind the ride from Savannah (about 125 miles) to get good service and a fair price." - PT 8/01

"Just bought my FXSTS from Augusta Harley.  A very good experience.  For just a little over MSRP, I was able to secure the bike, custom ordered, like I wanted.  My work takes me all over the US and I visited many dealers as I searched for the best prices and a dealer that would work with me to order what I wanted. This was the best.  Their new facilities offer much more than the previous shop.   The wait was long but worth it.  Additionally, the staffs in the Service, Sales, Clothing and Parts departments were very friendly and helpful.  My next Harley will come from Augusta." - CG 03/02

"Dealing with this dealer, well let's say just a pain.  I spoke with them on the phone and told them I was interested in a 2003 FLSTFI Fatboy and the color option.  They said come on in because they had one coming in May.  I went over there, and come to find out, big mistake, not only was the color option not coming in, I was told I could not get that color anymore which was Pearl Blue.  They said they had a "Silver & Black" due in around the middle of May.  I had them run the paperwork and noticed that the base price they used was higher than the MSRP.  When I ask them about it, they said they add 8% to the MSRP on each new motorcycle.  I ask why and was told "because we can"!  I can understand paying MSRP, but to add over $2,000.00 to the price "just because we can", well there should be a law!  This dealer is giving the "good one's" a really bad name!" - KH 05/03

"I purchased my 03 fxstdsei at Augusta HD. Every one there was extremely nice. They sold me my bike at MSRP and the 500 mile service was free. They were a bit careless in that some one at the dealership scratched my bike in several places. I wasn't going to spend 30000 dollars for a new bike with scratches in the metal and plastic. They promptly replaced the scratched pieces with out argument. They also serviced my bike by appointment and did it in a good time. Would I purchase another bike from them, you bet I would. They were honest and straight forward and even accepted my deposit over the phone...me using a credit card...you see I live 200 miles away. I could never afford to buy a bike in the Atlanta area...MSRP plus 2500 to 5000 is the cost in Atlanta." - JM 03/04

FRAZIER'S H-D
Buford, GA, 30519
" '98 FXSTC $2500 OVER MSRP, no HOG disc ("we donate to the chapter"), Waiting list 6+ months." - RS 8/99

"Asking MSRP + $3000 on new FXD." - DR 10/01

"I bought a 2002 XL883C in Real Red last November for $7400 plus sales tax.  Basically, I paid MSRP (maybe + one or two hundred).  I was really happy with the price.  They were pretty crowded that day, so I had to wait to talk to someone, but they were real nice.  I saw my salesperson at a show a couple of months later and he still remembered me.  Family owned place—real nice people.  HOWEVER, I have been back recently looking for a FXST (my wife wants my Sportster), and the selection is poor and the prices are ridiculous.  I have found that all the metro Atlanta dealers are overpriced with no stock of new bikes.  If you live in Georgia, buy out of state, or over the internet." - CS 04/02

"Four years ago, I bought a used Sportster from a private individual. Since then I've bought most of my parts and accessories from Frazier's. Even though I didn't buy my Sportster from them, they know me by name, always treating me like their best customer.   A few months ago, I bought a Lightning Star front wheel from a HD dealer out of state at more than a 50 percent discount. They didn't charge me anymore to install it cause I didn't get it from them. The service manager asked my why I didn't buy it from them and when I told him he said. "I don't blame you !" - JH 07/02

"I bought my first H-D from Fraiser's H-D.  The sales staff was friendly, and kinda reminded me of some folks I know back home.  I was very disappointed when I first arrived there as there was not a Sportster on the site.  However, when I told the sales person what I was looking for, he told me that they just received a 100 Yr. Anniversary 883 Hugger off the truck and was uncrating it the back.  It was the last one the had and it was the exact color, size and model I was looking for.  When I inquired about the price, it was right on the MSRP.  I bought it on the spot. The salesman introduced me to everyone in the entire shop, parts and MoCo Clothing departments, who all where friendly and helpful.  A month later, I was ready to "pay the Harley-Tax" and the service department main wrench convinced me that I could do it myself and it would be fun.  I did it, with his instructions and I saved a few coins and my bike runs GREAT! I have budgeted $1000.00 per year for the next 3 years to customize my sporty to my liking and I believe I will spend it all there. I have also been to Killer-Creek but they are too big to treat me like an old friend, but at Fraiser's I feel like family." - RR 11/02

CARTERSVILLE H-D
Cartersville, GA
"After checking prices all over Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, I bought a 2004 black Heritage from Cartersville H-D.  They gave me a great price and their sales folks were great to work with.  I felt like I was dealing with real professionals unlike some of the other Atlanta dealers I visited.  I have since used their service department to add a few enhancements and minor factory adjustments and their service and response time was excellent.  I am very comfortable recommending them to everyone!" - ST 02/04

"Ever since my wife finished Rider's Edge I have been looking to move up to a FLSTFI.  I must have called nearly every dealer within 500 miles of Atlanta before I called Cartersville.  "How much over MSRP are you on a 2004 Black, fuelie Fatboy?", "We're right there but it'll take a couple of weeks to get one in...".  They delivered the bike 4 days later and even gave a 20% discount on the $1,500 in accessories that I ordered.  Yes the bike was sold at MSRP and it was financed at 8.5% for 84 months, the entire transaction took less than an hour.  These folks are a joy to deal with, save yourself a lot of time and trouble and call them first." - TM 05/04

CHATTAHOOCHEE H-D
Columbus, GA, 31906
"Bitten by the Harley bug after owning a jap. crotch rocket and seeing numerous MSRP ads claiming @ $6500.00 for the 2000 Sportster 883 custom, I went to this local dealership to find they had a $3500 mark-up on the bike. I left discouraged, broken-hearted, and mad all at the same time.  Still searching for a dealer that is not a stealer!" - CT  4/00

"I have been trying to buy a Fat Boy for the last two months. I have been to six dealers in GA, TN, SC and AL. I made offers at five of the six only to be turned down. I found the exact bike I wanted at Chattahoochee HD (formerly Archie's) in Columbus, GA on Tuesday. I negotiated the price and picked up this bike the next morning. Not only did I get the best deal, but this dealership was by far the most professional of all I visited. Everyone at this dealer from service tech, parts person, sales person to the owners were outstanding in their attitude and willingness to help. I recommended this dealer to a friend who put a deposit on a bike there today. Buying a Harley was the most difficult purchase I ever made, but it turned out great because of this dealership." - TE 02/01

"What a great place to buy a HD.  I live in the ATL area, and unfortunately did not know about this great site.  All of the comments regarding the ATL dealerships thus far are accurate.  While driving to FL, I just happened to stop by Chattahoochee HD in Jan and found many brand new bikes to choose from.  Was quoted a great deal on my 2001 FLHRCI.  Called back a week or two later gave them a deposit over the phone to hold my bike while I got my funds together.  Three weeks later, drove down to Chattahoochee HD and completed my transaction no problems - great dealership.  Susan in sales was my sales person.  Very knowledgeable, caring, and considerate.  If you happen to go to this dealership, contact Susan.  I did not get any type of freebie's other than the shirt, hat, and beer hugger.  But got my bike at a great price from great people.  If you live in ATL, I would drive the 125 Miles to Columbus to buy my next bike!" - TB 4/01

"I just took delivery of a new XL883C from Chattahoochee H-D, and am extremely pleased with the level of customer service that this dealer gives to it's customers, and their prices had all the Atlanta-area dealers beat by a significant amount.  A very pleasant buying experience and a great price.  Everyone there (including sales, finance, parts & accessories, and the owners) was extremely helpful and made me feel like I was a welcome customer, even though I wasn't buying one of the higher-dollar bikes.  It's well worth the drive from the Atlanta area to visit this dealership." - JR 11/01

"Last year, after craving a Harley for some time, I ventured in to Chattahoochee H-D to browse. Very nice dealership, family-owned and operated. I found a used Softail Custom, and fell in love. The salesperson was very low-pressure, and answered all my questions, even asking the service tech those that she didn’t know the answer to.  I bought the bike at a very fair price, and rode it home that day. I subsequently bought a Dyna Wide-Glide from the sales manager at this dealership in December, and had a similar purchase experience. Both purchases went very smoothly, and the staff – all of them – management, service, sales, and parts – were very courteous, helpful, and friendly. Both bikes were used, but the prices I paid were very fair, and I got a great deal on my trade-in of the Softie for the FXDWG.  I have been in many of the southeastern H-D dealerships since my first purchase, and have yet to be treated as I am at this dealership. They all know me by name, and I feel like family. I have also not seen any better pricing on in-stock bikes anywhere else.  I heartily recommend Chattahoochee H-D, and will certainly buy my next bike there." - RP 06/02

"WOW!!! What a great dealer. I live in the Atlanta area and am regularly subjected to $5000 over MSRP for a new HD as being the norm… When I went scanning for a 2003 100th year anniversary V-ROD in the 2 tone colors, I expected the worst (A buddy had seen a dealer in Ft. Lauderdale charging over 30 grand for one). Instead I was treated to personal, professional attention by the Owners, their daughters, sales manager, and everyone else associated with this dealership. I admit I was even being a bit of a pain trying to get my money together, and the team there at Chattahoochee never lost patience.  Simply a GREAT DEALER with FANTASTIC PRICES, I got the bike I wanted for just a couple of hundred dollars over MSRP. I highly recommend them to anyone in Atlanta, it is worth the 2 hour drive, folks!" - LM 09/02

MOUNTAIN CREEK H-D
Dalton, GA

STONE MOUNTAIN H-D
Lilburn, GA
"2000 Wide glide in pearl goes for $18,500.  Nighttrains go for the same figure.  They do claim that price includes a $2500 store credit if you still own the bike a year later." - DM 3/00

"This dealership has an exceptional staff of friendly and knowledgeable individuals.  The owner is generally always on site during business hours.  Usually 45-70 bikes on the floor with a good mix of new/new but previously titled/and used.  New and New/Previously titled bikes are marked up ~2500 over MSRP. However, if you keep the bike for a year the difference between MSRP and what you paid is given to you in the form of a store credit which can be applied to everything in the store (parts, service, clothes, etc) except another new bike.  The HOG chapter is exceptional and over 1000 strong.  Ask for Cameron (sales manager) and he will treat you right.  The downfall of this dealership is a horrendous service department. Wait times are 3-4 weeks out.  I have never had a bike serviced there without an issue after the fact (loose parts, misaligned parts, leaks, grease and such left about, etc).  A great place to buy, a bad place for service." - AT 5/00

"Customer appreciation, yea right! I was in this dealership last week and spent over $400.00 on a set of new tires. It so happened to be their big customer appreciation day, what a joke. Once the tires were installed I went to the sales counter to cash out. The sales person was tired of hearing everyone pop the balloons where the so-called discounts were. I received the great discount of $5.00 off my NEXT purchase of $25.00. With a buddy standing next to me purchasing about $30 worth of stuff, he offered to let me select his balloon, hoping for at least a little help off the $400 purchase I had made. The outstanding sales person we had would have none of that, yet the sales person next to him allowed his customer use a next purchase discount, making the statement, so what let management fire me for making a customer happy. Well you didn't show me any customer appreciation? I guess it was because I was not a member of your DAMN old owners group. Stone Mtn Harley?. You can keep your customer appreciation, I'll spend my money at Easyrider's in McDonough, Ga." - RB 4/01

"I have been going to Stone Mountain Harley since it was built three years ago and I have received nothing but perfect  attitudes, service, and parts. The owners are very friendly and works right along with the staff. Wonderful dealership." - TP 5/01

"I purchased my 2nd Harley from these guys back in March. Everyone there still remembers my name, and the pet name for my bike. The cost was comparable to other dealerships, and here is the kicker, at the year mark of the purchase of my new bike I receive a $2500 to use at STHD any way I wish. From parts to services to accessories, you name it. I will only use STMD in all of my HD business from now on. I have always heard the HD people were family. I truly believe it now. I loved being alone on "Big Sister". Well STMD has truly made me feel like family." - WM 5/01

"Last week I was riding thru Atlanta when I had problems with my throttle . I stopped at Stone Mountain Harley. They looked at the bike, checked all the switches out,. Checked the tires and looked the bike over completely. I was then led inside were they took all of my information and put it into the computer. This took several minutes to complete. they then told me that it would take up to an hour and a half. They said "we'll get right on it.". An hour later they  came to get me in the showroom. That was when I was told that they did not have the part to fix my bike. Folks this is no way to run a railroad. I will not go back there for anything." - MN 7/01

"I went to Clayton Co. Harley to get a price on a Sportster 883. Then went to Stone Mt. to compare and they where $1,500 more. They told me they rebate $1,000 after you own the bike a year & that rebate was good towards parts, that's a horrible policy. So I went back to Clayton Co. that day and bought my XL. At Stone Mt. I found the salesmen very arrogant and they had to many used bike on display. I hope Clayton Co. does not change prices or service when they move into a larger building. Bigger is not better." - KR 01/02

"I recently purchased a new Heritage Softail Classic from St. Mtn. Harley Davidson.  The salesman was very courteous and knowledgeable.  While I did pay about $3000 over MSRP, I will receive a $2500 rebate after 1 year to be used for accessories, clothing or service.  The staff was very friendly and the store was clean and well stocked.  I joined the local hog chapter and met a lot of nice folks.  Would I buy another bike from them?  Yep!" - CK 03/02

"I have been to Stone Mountain HD outside Atlanta five times and I cannot figure out how they know that I do not have a pot to piss in. They can tell by they way I walk, or the few gray hairs on my head that I could not possibly afford to purchase a motorcycle that has been marked up 5000 above MSRP. The only time anyone has even spoken to me is when I took my 7 year old son with me to see if they had a luxury rich red Roadking classic in stock. I almost got the feeling that the approach from the salesman was a subliminal message that said "hey man, your kid looks dangerous to my inventory." Sales people should look hard in the mirror each day before going onto the sales floor and humiliating a man who might have a savings account earmarked for a HOG. "Build it and they will come" is just a saying, it does not work without personality." - KF 08/02

"I have been into the dealership several times in the past, dresses in my work clothes which is a dirty t-shirt and shorts and only once have I been approached by a salesperson wanting to help me! Being a small business owner and owning a $23,000 Harley myself, how can they really tell who and what I am when I enter the door with sweaty clothes on? Well believe you me, I've had my feel for a shop that only caters to people with clean nice clothes on, which by the way I do wear when I'm not working! I recently went to another H-D dealership and was treated like gold, and seen them treating all of their customers that way. Hey I spent over $1000 at this one and will go back. Come on Stone Mountain get it together people, and start acting like everyone is capable of being a part of the Harley family! The next time a "bum looking person" walks in they could be wealthy. I can buy your bikes , parts and services but for now I'll go elsewhere!" - FK 08/02

"I went there twice to look around with a friend who has a Dyna-wide.  The salesman who approached me was friendly and answered ALL my questions. I returned there several more times again asking more questions as I learned more about HD's. Each time the same salesman approached me and answered ALL my questions. He never put any pressure on me and in fact was pretty laid back. I finally enrolled in the rider's edge class not having ridden in 30 years and ordered a new 1200 Custom Sportster. Everyone who I've met at that place was friendly, staff and customers. Although, not everyone loved the place. I'm an old New Yorker and know the difference between being nice and yanking my chain!  Yep, I paid to the penny $1000 above MSRP and will get $1000 in goods or service after one year. I've spent more than that already! No other dealer in GA met that. In fact using the internet no one matched it. Paid cash maybe money talks?" - FK 10/02

"Pretty good dealership, purchased a Sportster 1200 custom at $1000 over invoice, but will receive $1000 in credit after 1 year.  Do not have very many new bikes in stock.  I think because they have the best deals in Georgia.  I ordered the bike in Feb.  should receive in June.  Not bad, better than paying an extra 3k for a bike today.  Really helpful staff and salesman.  Would shop here from now on." - PC 01/04

H-D OF ATLANTA
Lithia Springs, GA
"Better pricing than most of the Atlanta area dealers.  2000 Fatboys start at $17,600, Nighttrains at $16,500, FXSTS Springers start at $17,500 and Wideglides at $17,800.  Bikes usually must be ordered with a 4 - 5 month wait." - DM 3/00

"Asking MSRP +2500-3000 or so on FXD and FXST.  Salesman says there is small room for negotiation, but "nothing crazy"." - DR 10/01

"Busted a rear rim on my 02 FLSTC going through Atlanta on a Friday night. Called the Service dept Sat morning.  They offered to come pick me up but we had a chase.  Fixed me up and back on the road that afternoon.  Excellent service and tech was very efficient." - LB 10/02

"Can not say enough good things about this place. Bought 1999 R-K from them in September. The salespeople were extremely patient with me as it took three days for me to "Bite The Bullet." Friendly and courteous all the time. I've been contacted by the sales team (including sales manager) on several occasions since to see if I'm satisfied. And the service dept. is top notch as well. Had my 10k service done just the other day. Not only did they wash the bike (don't they all?) but the mechanic had also tightened up my mirrors. Will definitely buy from them in the future." - SB 12/03

H-D OF MACON
Macon, GA
"They are definitely dealers, we bought two 2000 Sportsters at MSRP. Great service and friendly sales!  We rate them A+. They are close to Atlanta but without Atlanta prices!" - AS 4/00

"I experienced a stator failure while on the road in Georgia. I didn't want anything to do with negotiating prime-time traffic trying to find a local Atlanta dealer so I gave Macon H-D a call since it was on my route a few hours away. The service manager, made sure he had the right parts and told me to come on in first thing in the morning and they'd squeeze me in. Service and techs were first-rate and I was treated like a valued customer although I'd never been there before and likely wouldn't be again. This is a family owned dealership and the owners are in the store. Grover Sassaman, the patriarch, is pictured in various photos with Arthur Davidson and has been in business over 50 years. The locals I talked to were extremely happy with all aspects of this dealership. Although it stuck in my craw to see '02s on the floor at what *appeared* to be 10% or so above MSRP I gotta give this dealer two thumbs up! In lieu of HOG discounts they have special discount days periodically throughout the year." - TM 10/01

"Took my bike to Macon HD, and got great service. They actually do what they say they will do." - DM 05/02

"I have done business with the Macon H-D dealer and found them to be some of the rudest people I have ever tried to spend my hard earned money with.  They treated us like we were bothering them when we tried to talk to them about a bike.  We were on a waiting list for 3, yes 3 years for a bike.  I would never do business with them again if they were the last Harley dealer in the world." - LB 05/03

"Purchased a new Street Glide from Macon HD last week. I had called and talked to every dealer in my area. Chris at Macon HD gave me the best price and information. When I arrived at the dealership, they already had the bike in cleanup and the paperwork ready (except for some info I had to give them). This was the easiest purchase experience I have had with a bike or auto. Knowledgeable sales staff, good guys on the parts counter, clean and organized service department. I will be going back to them for my service work." - BC 10/05

EARL SMALL'S H-D
Marietta, GA
"Just bought a new 2000 FLHRCI from these folks. While I did pay more than MSRP it was still within the current Market Price and about the same as I had been offered "used" zero miles, but titled (brokers) FLHRCI's for. I called dealerships all over the Southeast and either they wouldn't sell to me out of state, or they didn't have any bikes, and some were just down right rude. I got on the list at my local dealer (who is a fine dealer) but the list was just longer than I wanted to wait. Earl Small's was GREAT to deal with from beginning to end. I found them on the www after a friend told me that they sold to people out of state. I called and haggled with them over a price and once we agreed I bought the bike over the phone, AND because I was going to be out of town for the next couple of weeks on business, they held it for me for as long as I need them too, which was 2 weeks until I got there to pick it up (and pay for it then!) with just a credit card deposit. When I got there the bike was waiting out front completely cleaned up and gassed up. The salesman (Steve) took about an hour going over the entire bike with me and then personally helped me make sure it was loaded tight for the 6 hour drive back to NC. They also gave me 10% off the other items I bought while there. Everyone there was nice and helpful and I even got a card from the owner a couple weeks later. While you might not pay MSRP, you certainly do get what you pay for at this dealer and I would buy from them again!" - MS 3/00

By far the best dealer in metro Atlanta. They will meet and/or beat others prices. The parts counter is fully stocked with parts that people actually need. The service department is above excellent. Bottom line is they are worth the extra drive if required." - PV 02/01

"Excellent service, Parts people, and motor clothes people!  Did not care for the prices on new HD's as they are marked up by 3K - 5K above MSRP. However, the rest of Earl Smalls was great! Take your bike in for service, and get it back the same day.  Just make sure you ask for your old parts back if you are having new parts installed." - TB 4/01

"Picked up my new RKC yesterday for $21,000 out the door.  A little pricey but worth it considering all others in town are at least 2 grand more then Earl's.  Great people, great service, returned a helmet same day, no questions asked!  The only problem that I had when I picked up my bike was it was dirty!  Thought for that much money someone would have detailed the bike.  But hey, it was fun giving it the spit shine as soon as I got home.  I would recommend this dealer for all your Harley needs!" - RJ 7/01

"Due to a problem with my bike  I stopped in at Earl Small's H-D. It was 15 minutes before the service bay was to close. When they found out that I was from out of town they took the bike in right away and worked past closing to fix it and get me back on the road. The work was great. Thanks folks." - MN 7/01

"In 1998,I negotiated a fair price ( about 1,500 over MSRP )and purchased a new FXSTS from this dealership. Over the next 3 years I purchased over 5K in accessories and motorclothes. Now I try to negotiate down from their $23k list (5000 over MSRP ) a 2002 FLSTSI, their not interested. They have my business totally." - FE 8/01

"I have been dealing with Earl Small HD since 1987. People always complain or get ignorant about Harley dealers , I see enough of them in the 4 Harley rags that I read. That has lead me to send this email as it is about time someone mentions the other side of the story. I have been riding motorcycles since 1948 and remember when choices were Harley or Indian. Therefore I have done business with numerous dealers throughout the USA Harley and others. In all the years I have been dealing with ESHD  I have seen them grow from a shop with about 6 or 8  people to what they have today. To me the most interesting fact is in spite of their size and number of employees, I am treated today the same as if not better than I was back in 87. As a business owner with 50 of my own employees, I know what it takes to have this consistency. To sum it up, in today's times with lack or service, motivation and integrity , it is a pleasure dealing with a company such as Earl Smalls. Yes, a dealer that cares!  By the way, I have 4 Harleys which they keep going for me and have probably purchased about 20 bikes from them so there is a track records." - KS 11/01

"We are from England and called in at the above to purchase parts, and found all the sales staff very very Helpful and knowledgeable   It was a discount price day and they allowed us this discount.  Most of the parts were in stock and the rest were all available before we left back to England.  The only thing we could not get was the wrapping for our mufflers despite trying several outlets, we are not surprised no one carries this item, as not many bikes in the States have quiet pipes." - MW 11/01

"By far the best service department I've encountered. Competitive prices, very friendly folks and excellent work. Can't ask for more." - PB 03/02

"I just purchased a new 2003 Fat Boy FLSFTI.  Did I pay over MSRP?  Yes. Do I feel that I got a good deal?  Yes again.  I realize this may be contrary to most postings on this site; however, after calling and negotiating over the phone with every dealer in the state and many dealers in Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama, the best deal I found happened to be in the Atlanta metro area.  Well, it wasn't quite the best price - I could have waited another three weeks and endured a six hour round trip to save an additional $300, but I made a value call to enjoy as much of the summer as possible on my new hog.  Accessories I purchased were installed promptly, and the salesmen I dealt with were friendly, helpful and professional. Overall, it was a pleasant purchasing experience and I would recommend dealing with them." - JC 06/03

"These guys really went the mile to get my business.  They have followed through after the sale to make sure I was satisfied, and I am.  The price was fair and the deal held together. I have to ride past other dealerships to get to these guys, but so far the extra miles are well worth it." - SG 06/03

"After checking out all of the dealers in the Atlanta area, Earl's was my favorite. I've purchased 2 bikes there so far and will soon be buying a third (for my wife). They are a bike dealership that sells t-shirts, rather than the majority of HD shops which are clothing stores with a "Motorcycling theme." Everyone on the sales staff is great, and they will negotiate with you for a good deal. The service manager is a life saver. The work I've had done at this dealer has all been top notch, and I always get my bike back cleaner than I gave it. I even went in one Saturday with a leaking derby cover that I admitted was my fault (I just couldn't get the o-ring in straight). Even though they were crowded with scheduled service, the SM took my bike back, fixed the cover with a new o-ring, and charged me $0.00 for it." - LW 11/03

"I recently was directed to Earl Small's service area by HD Customer Service after another dealer failed twice to fix a warranty problem.  On try #3 the original dealer basically told me to pound sand.  Earl Small's service department was very courteous and professional, and even convinced HD to pay all charges for my problem that should have been fixed under warranty.  These guys will be getting my business from now on." - TO 01/04

"I was very pleased with every aspect of the deal. They give me a fair price and were honest about everything. It was one of the best buying experiences I've had. This dealer really went the extra mile to get my business. I would definitely buy from them again." - SB 04/04

"Just a pleasure to do business with. I sold my '02 Heritage Softail and looked for a new '04 Ultra late in the season with none to be found at any of the Atlanta area dealers (except one which wouldn't negotiate over the phone). The Earl Small salesman told me they would be getting one in a couple of weeks and actually called me when it arrived.  We negotiated the deal over the phone because it was a 100 mile round trip to the dealership. From salesman to parts department (I added $1500 in accessories upgrades) they made me feel like a customer and wanted my business.  They will get the first phone call when I'm ready for another bike." - TD 07/04

H-D OF CLAYTON COUNTY
Morrow, GA

"Definitely a Stealership!  2000 Wideglides go for around $19,500." - DM 3/00

"I purchased a new bike from CCHD in 2000. Drive out price was about $3500 over MSRP. $500 deposit required on new bikes and all accessories are installed free if purchased with the bike. Buyers also get the usual complimentary t-shirts. I have since discussed trading the bike in and discovered that repeat customers are treated to a bit of a discount. The staff is a bit clickish but once you get to know them most of them will treat you like family. The parts & service folks are top notch, from pans to fuel injection I don't think you can stump them. The owner has been in the business a long time and seems to know how to treat customers, especially repeat customers. If you have to buy a bike in the Atlanta area, from what I've seen you won't find a better place to buy. If price is your main consideration, you need to stay out of metro Atlanta. CCHD is moving to a larger facility and I'm not sure how that will impact prices but my guess is that they will go up. Hopefully they wont change the atmosphere too much because the old place has the kind of character a real rider likes." - WM 8/01

"Stopped in for my first visit to CCHD today (8/8/01) and found everyone friendly and willing to help. Didn't buy much but received first class help. Heard they are moving to new 60,000 sq. ft. facility early next year. Hope they take their great attitude with them. Wish I had known more about them before purchasing my Harley. Unfortunately they do not have a web presence and that is definitely a hindrance in this day and age." - DD 8/01

"Been browsing over years at this location and people are friendly enough. Don't recall what pricing was like in old store, though. I bought 2001 FLHR elsewhere and have bought chrome, etc. from these folks. Went in recently to see about trading my FLHR for a FLHTC they had on floor. Black, EFI, and security system was all it had (enough for me). Salesman told me $20,570 (for bike that should be around $17,500). Now I don't mind a little dealer markup but $3,200 is kind of excessive. I didn't try to haggle or talk trade because not 100% ready to sign on dotted line. Plus salesman said pricing didn't seem right and it should have been about $400 more than what he had on sheet. Few months ago, brother was in town and saw a 2002 FLHRC/I which was beautiful. They wanted almost $21,000 for that bike. Again, I/we don't mind paying a little extra but the prices seemed a little out-of-line to us. But, of course, that seems to be the 'norm' for most H-D dealers today. Guess I'll keep checking around or buy that Mustang seat so wife will be a little more comfortable than on the H-D touring seat I put on bike." - NE 06/02

"Purchased a new FLSTFI from this dealer and felt I got a reasonable deal for Georgia - about $1500 over MSRP, and even purchased a few thousand dollars in replacement parts and accessories.  The problems really started with the first time I needed service.  Too make a long story short the battery went dead after about a month and I could not get the bike to the dealer for a replacement (could not start it, even with a charger connected), so I just took the battery.  The service manager verbally abused and insulted me by saying that I probably got the battery from a friend and was just trying to get a freebee battery (Of course I would do this after having just spent $22,000 on the bike!).  I was so pissed off by this that I will never set foot in their door again." - LM 08/03

"After calling most dealers in the state, seeking a reasonable price for a 2004 FLHRCI, delivered with a security system and a color that added an extra $250.00,I was able to deal with the folks at HD of Clayton County. I offered 20K total cost, out the door. They ordered the bike I wanted and it was delivered in 37 days. This price included everything, tax, tag, title, prep and shipping. Other dealers wanted up to 3K more than I paid. They also beat the finance rate I had arranged and saved me $700.00 on insurance. They even took my picture on my bike the day of delivery, and several weeks later sent me a calendar, with my smiling face on that calendar. I've gotten numerous thank you cards from this dealership, and every time I drop in to look or buy accessories they are always courteous and helpful. Am going to buy a Softail Deluxe next year, and I'd consider no other dealer other than the good folks at HD Of Clayton County." - DR 10/04
KILLER CREEK H-D

"New 1999 FXD sticker price $16.1K." - W 8/99

"New 2000 FXD $14,899., 1 year warranty, 1 year free maintenance and free installation on the extra's I ordered including:  pipes, air cleaner, re-jetting and chrome.  They are very busy so service is over a week out." - 9/99

"When there they had 5 new & approx. 35 used scoots on the floor for the Grand Opening. The MSRPs below include freight & paint options (if applicable): '99 XLH883C was $9375, $2435 OVER the $6760 MSRP;  '00 FLSTF was $19595, $3870 OVER the $15275 MSRP; '99 FLSTS was $20995, $3600 OVER the $17395 MSRP; 2 '00 FLSTS were $21995, $4420 OVER the $17575 MSRP. Used scoots, mostly '97s-'99s similarly priced over their original MSRP  Didn't have the chance to ask about waiting lists, but in this area I expect the usual 3 mos. to 1 yr. 10% discount to local HOG members of which they have already signed up 750+ as charter members before the first meeting scheduled for Oct. 12.  Parts & access. were at the usual MSRP for them. I was given a tour of the service area by one of our AssholeTs who was hired for his racing expertise as they are trying to put together a race team. It was clean with all the new machining eqpt need to do that type work on premises. The building is designed to look like the Juneau Ave. plant in Milwaukee." - RS 9/99

"The FXD at Killer Creek is now 15,995 for model year 2000. They are on order and will be in starting 12/99. Nice FXDL on the floor for 18,800 +." - E 11/99

"Great looking shop. Tons of add ons. Was there to buy a Road King Classic...they were even willing to give me wholesale for my trade in....IF....I agreed to $23,000 for a FLHRCI.....especially steep for a bike with MSRP of $16,695. Still $23K for a cash deal too. I'm still looking for a good dealership in GA" - JS 5/01

"$21500.00 for a Fatboy - Bike MSRP  is $15500. I asked, "Why such a mark-up over MSRP?" Reply: "We sell bikes at market value, not MSRP." 'Nuff Said, I guess.  I wonder how these dealers would like it if H-D decided to start selling bikes to *them* at a $5000.00 markup." - LM 6/01

"They always have many bikes in stock, and with a new basic black XL883 standard marked at $8999, and a new FXDL marked at $20K, I guess that explains why.  I don't know how willing they are to negotiate on these prices, as no one there has ever shown much of an interest in actually having a real conversation about their pricing with me.  They do have fairly large motorclothes and accessories departments, and the KCHD logo looks great on their T-shirts, but when it came time to actually buy a bike, I drove to Columbus, GA and saved a few thousand dollars." - JR 11/01

"This dealership is horrible.  They are only about five miles from my house, but I will never go to their dealership again.  They have bikes marked up thousands above MSRP, and their customer service is the worst I have seen.  It seems like their employees are trained to ignore the customers, and then treat the customer bad when they ask for help.  I am in my early twenties and I've gone into the dealership wearing jeans and a T-shirt, and the salesmen will stand around talking to each other, whilst ignoring me.  I would have already bought two new H-Ds from them if they didn't treat me so bad.  I am about to buy a third, and it will definitely not be from them.  On my first trip to Killer Creek I bought some shirts, and I now regret that purchase since I don't want to give them any of my money.  Go to this dealership if you like to get ripped off by phony snobs." - RP 03/03

"They rip you off, don't have the time of day for you, and I can never find anyone to answer any tech question for me (for instance, the guy working the shop desk couldn't tell me about the transmission mounting plate for my bike ('80 FX 4-speed frame) and called a young nipper from the parts counter who's expertise seems to be limited to the pictures in the multitudes of HD parts manuals.  I only go in there for bolts, as I have found that some stock bolts for my bike are cheaper and easier to get through them than anyone else." - DM 06/03

"Killer Creek is one of the best dealerships I have ever seen.  I go out of my way (and the area I live in) to go to their store.  I live much closer to two other dealerships, but the events at Killer Creek are out of this world and always a lot of fun.  The staff could not be any more helpful and well informed.  Every time I have been in the store, everyone goes out of their way to help and explain things to me.  They also have the best selection of bikes I have ever seen in any one dealership --- their floor constantly has new H-D’s from which to choose.  I would recommend this dealership to all of my friends, and whenever I have out of town riders in town, the first place we head is Killer Creek." - RC 06/03

"If you are a soccer mom in a mini van and want to buy one of those cute little one-piece footie pajamas for your toddler, then this is your dealership! If you want to buy a bike, skip it. I ride right past this dealer, then another 30 miles every time I go buy something at Earl Small's, and will continue to do so. I made one purchase at "The Creek" and I regret that. To put the saddlebag supports on a 03 FXD, you need to get replacement rear turn signals because the mounting point is different. I asked for these at the parts counter, gave the guy the correct part number, and even pointed to it in the catalog for him. He came back with an entire stock turn signal kit, front and rear. When I told him that wasn't what I needed he just gave me a dumb look until someone else came over to help. The brain trust finally figured it out and got me the right part. If I hadn't known for sure what I was looking for, I would have paid way too much for the wrong part. Their service is terrible. The employees are a bunch of posers who think they are too "cool" to answer a rider's questions. Even on a beautiful sunny day there are more Ford F-150s and Excursions in their parking lot than bikes. That should tell you something right there." - LW 11/03

"Would not buy a bike from this dealer if they were the last dealer in the world. I'm a slow learner after buying two HD's well over MSRP from them, getting little or no service from them that's it! Helped a ridding buddy pick up his new V Rod. Rode it one block it went dead. Turned out to be a dead battery. Sat at the Dealer from 10:00am to 4:30 PM before they got it up and running (for a dead battery?). Only one of many horror stories." - RW 01/04

"I have purchased 3 bikes from Killer Creek in the last 2 years. My fav which I wrecked and they helped me get the insurance to repair, rather than to total. I paid cash for my bikes. Got MSRP or below for all 3. Yeah when you add on the Freight and sales tax its gonna be a little more than MSRP. The repairs to my fav bike was perfect and they even dyno'd it and gave it a little less skip. Its turning 102 HP with 127 torque at the back wheel. I'm very happy with this dealership. I will buy all my bikes from them and their service dept. has been very good to me. When I first put a race tuner on my bike, they dyno'd it to get it to the ride I wanted. I brought it back 3 times and each time they dyno'd it without any extra cost until they got it perfect "for me". I would highly recommend them for a new bike or repairs!" - TG 11/04

SAVANNAH H-D
(2 locations)
Savannah, GA
"Savannah HD has to be the highest priced, least friendly, most egotistical, bolt on accessory, credit card biker catering STEALERSHIP I have ever been in. I have been in all types of dealerships including some overseas and here stateside. I have t shirts from all of them except Savannah! Maybe that will tell them something. You can even tell them I said that." - MH 12/99

"3 years ago Savannah dealer made welding repairs to a friends back rest ( we were on the road) when it broke, no charge, no wait. 1 week ago after I was unable to start one morning, walked across street bought a new battery from dealer, Bike still would not start, pushed bike across street from motel to savannah dealer who trouble shoots the bike electrical system.  No charge, no wait" - RW 1/00

"I bought a 2000 screaming eagle road glide on 2-4-00 from sales manager GW. Paid $2500.00 over MSRP for this exceptional, rare bike. Deal was done over phone, just  went and picked it up. Prepped properly, road it away. A very pleasant experience, the exact opposite of Daytona Beach Harley where I was treated so poorly in 1996, I held a grudge against Harley until now; purchasing several high end rice burners. Can't say enough good things about my new friends at Savannah H-D. Visit soon or better yet, call Gary and set an appointment to consult about your next bike. You'll feel special. I refer all my friends there now. a side note - Jacksonville Honda and Southern Outdoor Sports in Waycross both suck, I've dealt with both (liars)." - JM. 3/00

"I priced a Heritage Springer Softail Classic at Savannah HD and the salesman gave me a quote of $23,000 this price didn't include tax or registration fees. Who knows what the out the door price would have been, I decided to throw the bull shit flag on this place. I personally researched the MSRP on the Internet  and this bike was listed for $17,950 (Vivid Black). You do the math, would you buy from them? If your willing to drive to North Carolina, Tilley's will sell you the same bike for  $19,400 out-the door. I really believe this is a fair price once you consider dealer set up fees, shipping and sales tax that all gets added to the MSRP. The only thing I would buy from Savannah is a T-shirt." - JP 10/02

"After looking at Myrtle Beach and Charleston, and Doug's in Florence SC and Savannah, GA, I had decided on either a 1200 XLC Sporty or Softtail Standard. Doug's was by far the best for the Softtail with a walk out the door of $15,800 (still phenomenally over MSRP).  I called Savannah and spoke with the sales manager. His price for the Softtail was $1000 more than Doug's.  However, he was willing to let a Sporty 1200 XLC go for MSRP.  I drove down and he showed me a 100th Ann Sportster 1200 XLC with the Gold package.  After some discussion, I was able to buy for MSRP and walked out the door at $11,034.00.  Everyone in the dealership was friendly and polite and they all greeted me when I came back a week later to order some parts (10% off when you buy within 10 days or are a member of their HOG)." - CP 05/03

"I don't live in this area but I have had the opportunity to use the service dept. here. I was returning to Pensacola Florida from a trip to Myrtle Beach. I noticed a wobble in my front end that wasn't quite right. Phone call to Savannah and they said bring it on in, even offered to come pick it up. They were real busy that day but still got me in quickly and repaired in short order. Service Manager even gave me an alternate route home. I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness and I appreciate it. Great bunch of guys." - MM 1/04

"I bought my bike from these guys in 2003. They are very nice on sale day. lots of problems with parts dept. and service dept. I have been trying to talk trade in on a new bike. Can't get the time of day. I guess they are nice if you are spending 20K." - MW 10/04

LITTLE RIVER H-D SHOP
Tifton, GA
"This Dealership is a shop "For The Rider"! I decided to call the shop for help. I explained that I was broke down on the interstate and asked if they could help me. That guy said "Sure, but let me transfer you to service." So when I spoke with a guy named George, he got my location and said he'd be there ASAP. He came in minutes with $2.00 of gas to get me rolling & when I went to thank him at Little River, he didn't expect a pay back at all. Instead...he asked if I was hungry and led me to the service bay for chili dogs, fries and cokes and told me to help myself to all I wanted. They never showed any concern as to me spending any money there (although I just had to get a T-shirt for the memory), their only concern was if I'd gotten enough to eat and was I gonna be o.k. What a refresh of the "True American"! I would recommend this dealer to anyone and really wish everyone else could experience their hospitality the way I have (without the break-down of course). By the way...their bikes are near MSRP, and a couple thousand below what our "Stealers" in TN are wanting. I would feel great about doing business with them mainly due to their integrity. Kinda like the "old days" before the "hype and greed" came about." - JF 10/04

"We are located on Exit 61 on I-75 and are open 7 days a week. The coffee is always on." - Little River H-D 12/04
