BROTHERS' H-D
Branford, CT, 06405

"According to well known motorcycle publication, this dealer sells new Harleys at or near MSRP"

"I visited Brothers a week ago on a Tues. morn, so not much foot traffic. All bikes were between $2-$3 K over list depending on model. I know the MSRP so there was no mistaking. One 2001 FLSTCI, V&H, and chrome - $23900. Many new bikes loaded up with ex. chrome which may or may not be to customer's liking. They do have a magnificent facility and friendly folks. You'll  be hard pressed to find a FX or FLST at any CT. dealer for MSRP. I visited 4 in the same week. I feel this marketing ploy by the dealers is soon coming to an end." - BL 3/01

"These guys were the only ones who had a black Road King in stock.  I bought the bike at MSRP plus freight and prep.  Really didn't seem so bad as it was the lowest price in the state (by +$1200). Put a deposit on Friday and picked it up on Tuesday.  It's a pleasure to do business with them!" - RK 5/01

"My Harley experience started in March 2001. I decided the hell with everything I'm buying a new HD (My first HD). I want a Fatboy, no problem right. Ha Ha Went to a hole *hit load a dealers because I wanted a yellow Fatboy with a carb. No dealer in CT had one or could get me one. And there was a so call list at every bigger dealer had of people waiting for them. Finally push came to shove and my new 2001 Fatboy was going to be delivered to Brothers HD. I came to the dealer with my cash waiting for the truck. The truck came and their it is, my first shiny HD. My sales man was grate. I wanted a whole load of crap put on and taken off. 25 G's later my Fatboy is mine and kicks ass. Very careful breaking it in and everything. Here's where my problems began. A screaming loud vibrating noise comes from my ride. I have no clue what it is. Back to the dealer. They find nothing. Maybe just breaking in or something take it home and ride some more. Know after it's been back several times and they just do the same crap adjustments and give me back my ride, still with the dam problem. I told them it makes the noise after it's hot and it might come back every HUNDRED or so miles. Bring it back again, they only put 4miles on it and tell me we took it out and heard nothing. After hearing it several hundred times know I have narrowed it down to Trany. But if they can't reproduce the noise they won't look in. Bitch and moan and still I have a 25 thousand dollar lemon. They have too much business to worry about 1 customer. Call the company. We don't do EXPLORATORY WORK. I want to kill. I did my job and bout this bike, their job is diagnose and fix. I'm known going to be forced to buy and extended warranty because it just a matter of time before it craps out. Hopefully its not when I'm doing 90 on the highway but they don't give a crap about that I'm only 1 customer. Next step. Lawyer. CT lemon law. Never buy new HD again." - JG 02/02

"Brothers H-D has gone downhill since they moved into their new facilities. Their prices are outrageous , $2500-3500$ over MSRP. If you  have more money then brains ,this is the place for you." - JB 03/02

"Just picked up my 03 Black Road King Classic from Brothers' Harley Davidson and the experience was the best. Salesman were super and the total deal was the best in the state. Introduced to the impressive service department, everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. This place is huge! Great selection of accessories and clothing. Checked out other dealers and none of them had the RKC in stock and had little interest in talking to me. I found the Brothers staff to be very helpful and look forward to dealing with their service department." - EK 10/02

"Before I bought my 02 FXDL I looked around at other dealerships. When finally was ready, the salesman was professional and very knowledgeable about the bikes and various options. While I did pay about $1000 over sticker price, the bike did have some add-ons such as the security package. They have been nice after the sale as well. Every time I walk in the dealership if the salesman is there he asks how the bike is running, how many miles putting on, etc. As far as service I know a lot of people have gripes about the service at brothers' but I have always had a pleasant experience. While I did have a warranty problem that I had to pay for I believe that brothers did all they could to try and get the problem solved under the warranty. The problem was the coverage with the company. The bottom line is that I will continue to take my bike there for service and if I get another one shop there for a new one as well." - DW 10/03

YANKEE H-D
Bristol, CT, 06787
"New name and new owner. Now called Yankee H-D. Past owner was rude and crude-- he was doing you a favor by selling you the bike. New guy has different philosophy saying sales are  going to be off this year because of economic slowdown and with the increased supply by H-D ( 227K units) this year, gap between supply/demand which existed for the last 10 years may be coming to an end. His pricing is still over list after saying all that  (8% or so), but  he seems very customer oriented and fair. The place was packed last Sat. and it was 22 degrees out with freezing rain!" - JL 3/01

"Very rude salespeople not willing to move on there already inflated prices. Very typical Connecticut Harley Dealer.  Now I'll have to drive to PA to get a decent deal but worth saving $2200.  Yankee H-D... total rape city." - FB 04/03

"I'm about to get back to motorcycling after 20+ years and have always wanted a stock Sportster XLH. I went to check out Yankee in Bristol about 20 mi. from home. It's a gorgeous, luxury, new facility ( even dual, automated entry doors !) on a main business road. Parking was beautiful also. Very impressive facility, but I left after a half hour, never to return. I looked at several Sportsters on the floor both new and used, 883 and 1200, and was shocked at the hyped prices. After examing a '03 883 std. black Sportster for 15 minutes  with absolutely no help ( which is nice in some cases ), I finally found the only sales rep. and asked if I could get some info. on the Sportsters. He admitted he was kind of tied-up, but walked over to the Sportster area with me. I said "How can you get a $6000 MSRP bike to $9000+". He said " Gold Key Package, windshield, and 1000 mi. check-up". He also said that the 1000 mi. check is worth $300 and that they completely go over it. That is HOGWASH ! They change the oil in the engine and primary and look it over. Harley-Davidson on their web site even say the best motorcycles made are also made easy to change the oils. I also saw a '02 1200 for $9000 and asked if I came in with cash would they lower the price. He said no, not in the Spring. I said that all the HD dealers tell me that they sell every Harley made and asked why do you have two '02 1200 Sportsters sitting there, and he walked away from me and said "have a nice day". I'll continue my search of interviewing dealers. Maybe I'll find one that I like!" - JS 05/03

H-D OF DANBURY
Danbury, CT, 06810

"Way overpriced. Want about $3,000.00 over MSRP for FLHRI and FLHTCI. Only 2 bikes I priced. Told that these prices were market rates." -  M 9/99

"...gets about $3,000.00 over MSRP." - BG 1/00

"Went to Danbury H-D over the week-end to get a price on a new FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport. Nicely stocked parts and goodies department, friendly sales staff BUT... wanted $3,000 over MSRP. When I presented the price I got online from the HD site, I was told that "we charge a little (?) bit more because of our excellent service department, we're open 7 days a week, blah, blah, blah. Fine, but it's not my problem if you want to keep your doors open all the time, and isn't a service department supposed to be knowledgeable in the first place? Save the "premium" talk for the next lobotomy class; I'll be looking elsewhere." - TS 1/00

"If you want to get it stuck up your Ass, Danbury HD is the place to go. The owners of this dealership will take your money at way over MSRP. If fact they will go as far as to charge way over MSRP on HD bolt on accessories and aftermarket parts as well. Only a fool would do business with these people. This Stealership won't give a discount to anyone including their "HOG" members, not to mention that they closed down the original HOG group and took over $3000 that they had to start another "Yuppie" HOG Group. Take your business elsewhere, unless you're a fool..." - CR 1/00

"Shopping for a new FXD, I found that private sellers are really private stealers, asking $ 15,000 or more for a used FXD!.  Most dealers, regardless of price, are arrogant and told me to get in line and wait. I drove past two other H-D dealers, on a friend's recommendation, to get to Danbury H-D.  The second I walked in the door I know I made the right choice.  I was treated courteously, and the entire staff was friendly and went out of their was to help me. Danbury H-D gave me real value when I bought my bike, because their effort & concern continue after you buy the bike.  They even sent a mechanic to my house when the bike wouldn't start (because I ran the tank dry!).  Maybe I paid over MSRP for my bike, but I go a new bike, full factory warranty and a free 1,000 mile service.  I feel this was a lot less money than I would have paid to all those PRIVATE STEALERS. Danbury H-D is also the only dealer that gave me honest answers about my old bike, and didn't try to make unnecessary repairs.  In the long run I have come out way ahead dealing with those guys." - MM 2/00

"My experience with Danbury H-D and their HOG Chapter is worth sharing with others. Several years ago, while attempting to join the OLD DANBURY HOG CHAPTER, the OLD HOGS proved to be a self-
serving group of jerks who weren't interested in helping or being friendly to newcomers.  At one of the club's dinners, the OLD DANBURY HOGS, as usual, acted like a clique and ignored me.  Believe it or not, this OLD HOG clique even set up a date to ride and then canceled without telling me, but they all knew that the ride had changed!  Then there were the rumors of financial improprieties and conflicts of interest.  I wanted nothing to do with this group. Finally the management of Danbury H-D acted and threw out the OLD HOGS.  The NEW DANBURY HOGS are a decent and friendly group of people who care about bikers and care about new members who want to get involved.  The rides are great, the Dealership is outstanding, and the owners of Danbury H-D are at every meeting and go with us on some of the rides.  The membership of the NEW DANBURY HOGS is growing too!  As a customer of Danbury H-D and based on my positive experience with the NEW DANBURY HOGS,  C.R., where's the beef?" - SS 2/00

"Guy named Bob runs the wrenches and really knows his shit, but the sales end is a friggin' boutique... they tend to dress up the bikes and get WAY over MSRP for them... like 20-30%." - RH 3/00

"Danbury has a great business reputation and happy customers based on my talking to lots of riders.  An excellent service department also! Danbury H-D also has the best motorclothes selection in Connecticut or New York, and believe me, I'm a shopper!  I recently picked up a pair of boots at 50% off. Danbury H-D must be doing something right because the place is always packed!" - JC 4/00

"Level of Customer Service is excellent.  Manager is very knowledgeable with the product line.  A pleasure to do business with such a dedicated, reliable, and honest person.  A real asset to the establishment!  Hard to find such dedication these days!" - FB 3/01

"The reality as far as parts/accessories go, they offer book prices, not a huge inflation, and so I will continue to go there for parts...after the 10% off discount card expires at the dealership where I bought my new bike.  Parts dudes are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you get what you need.  But their motorcycles are a different story.  I priced a stock 2001 Deuce there, and was quoted "starting at $19,5xx".  Some $3,000 ABOVE MSRP just for the *privilege* of buying from them?  I referenced the catalog plainly stating MSRP price and freight charge.  Still, in PRINT, the salesman tried to wiggle out of the wallet-rape question, as to why their bike should cost about $17,xxx with freight and set-up instead of 19-plus.  This is after completely rebuilding my Ironhead Sportster over the course of the last year using this shop as my prime parts source.  I promptly decided to go elsewhere.  My father decided to get a bike shortly thereafter, and was quoted somewhere in the $24,000 range for a Road King.  Disappointed, he bought a Kawasaki elsewhere to save  some money.  Half a year later, one of my riding buddies wanted to get a 1200 Custom, and so we went to Danbury HD to see if we could at least get a deal on a Sportster.  No such luck.  Sportsters were *starting* at 9 or 10 grand for a basic 883!  He went to Moroney's Cycle and bought a 1200 Custom, with a bunch of goodies and the Harley tax done, for around 10 grand total." - RR 3/01

"I just picked up a new Sportster custom at Danbury Harley and everyone there especial the owner was great. I also did business with the Danbury Mall store and they were just as nice." - JD 5/01

"Trying to buy a Buell Blast either ’01 or ’02.  Dealer offered MSRP on an ’02 but had no stock and only two coming in until spring ’02. Dealer had no ‘01s either until a few days ago.  Now dealer has two used ‘01s but is jerking me around when I try to take one for a ride.  Called at 10:00am to schedule a ride at noon.  Got there at 12:10pm.  Bike was still sitting in the showroom and had no gas.  I was told they could fit me in if I had an hour to wait.  Why the hell did I call at 10?  I told them I’d call them when I had time to deal with their s**t. My original salesman actually seemed cool when I talked to him.  Unfortunately, he decided play hooky from work when it really counted. In regards to the previous ‘poor experience’ post:  My salesman definitely made up for the original drop of the ball.  They went out of their way on their second chance and wound up with a very happy customer.  I picked up my used (like new) ’01 Buell Blast today.  They hooked me up with custom exhaust for only a few bucks and were very fair on the final bike price.  They will be pleased to know that when someone asks me where they should buy their next bike from, I’ll tell them ‘Harley Davidson of Danbury.  They hooked me up.’  Good job!" - RM 10/01

"I have been a Danbury Harley customer for a long time now, I usually shop in the Danbury fair mall. The Staff  there is great , they go out of there way to help and if you need something  they don't have they are most happy to find it for you and will ship it to you! Now to me that's Service. In recent months I have noticed that Danbury mall Harley does not have a selection of items any more. I mean the clothes are the same as last years. They have no head wraps, no simple patches or stickers. Not even key chains! I went in to buy my boy friend a leather jacket. Fxrg  to be exact and they didn't' have his size normally the Mngr. would order it, I was told she was no longer  allowed to order  That I would have to go to the Federal Road store, what a bummer,  not to mention its out of my way. And the T-shirts, well if my Ol' man was a size xxx we could buy a shirt but being he isn't they lost a sale. As for the Fxrg jacket  I went to Stamford. Another $600 sale lost. C'mon guys did you forget you have another store?" - KT 10/01

"I am extremely perturbed about the way I was treated this week.  I needed to purchase a El Camino jacket for my husband's birthday in an extra large.  They were currently out of stock on this size.  I asked the sales clerk if he could special order it for me if I pre-paid for the jacket in full.  He told me that I needed to contact the manager.  The next morning I called and told her I was coming to the Danbury Fair Mall on Friday evening for dinner and would like to stop in to pay for the jacket.  She informed me the the ordering was no longer being placed from that location and I would have to go to the Dealership on Federal Road to place the order.  As I live in New York and approximately 45 minutes from the Mall I felt this was an inconvenience to travel further when they have a location in the Mall but were unable to take my money at that location.   I thought Harley Davidson always prided themselves for their level of customer service and have always been completely satisfied in the past.  The manager at the Mall Store has been there for a long time and is very knowledgeable about the product line.  She apologized for the inconvenience however SHE wasn't the one that should have apologized as I don't think she did anything wrong.  I too  called the Stamford store and they graciously took my order over the telephone and are sending me my jacket along with several holiday ornaments and figurines.  I will no longer do business at a location that cannot or should I say will not even attempt to please me. Your loss, as my sale was over $635.00!  Maybe Milwaukee should look into their practices!  Whatever happened to CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!" - AC 10/01

"For four years I had been a Part Time Employee at the H-D Of  Danbury Mall Store.  I loved my job, my colleagues and most of all our regular customers. Having never shown more than a cursory interest in their mall store, I never had the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the owners but trusted that in the spirit of H-D -they'd be "straight up" people.  I guess I was wrong.  Over the passed few months when customers and staff remarked that we weren't receiving any new merchandise the owners indicated that nothing was wrong and that it was "business as usual".  As the situation began to worsen, we asked the owners outright if the store would be closing and were assured that it would not.  Abruptly and without any opportunity to remove our personal belongings from the store, it was closed on Dec. 26th, at which time staff received calls from the Dealership bookkeeper informing us all that we were now unemployed.  Nice going guys, after working hard at maintaining your store and keeping the customers happy, you out and out lied to us leaving us jobless for the New Year.  I'm sure that your Mother would be REALLY proud of you!  As for our former customers  -I'd like to apologize.  I had no idea that we lied to you, telling you we weren't closing when you asked  -but I had NO idea." - GD 01/02

"The service department here is top notch.  The sales end, however, is rape-city.  I found out the hard way when I fell in love with a factory-custom in '96.  I paid way too much for the bike, but knew I wasn't gonna find it anywhere else.  The custom wasn't the only bike being sold at well above MSRP... a friend of mine bought a 1200C from them at around $12K.  My cousin paid nearly $20K for a Heritage Softail after I begged him not to.  Even after years of buying parts and utilizing their service department, the owner still tried to line me up for a reaming when I expressed interest in trading.  I went elsewhere and saved thousands.  I still buy my oil and parts there, but pigs will fly before I buy another bike from them." - RC 04/02

"Called up for the availability of a stock 883 2002 Sportster in black. They had it for about $6400, including all (except tax). Since this was mid June, and the 5 other dealers I called wanted more, or insisted I spent an additional $2500 for extras (since I lived out of their area), I felt it was a good deal. Also, they gave me $500 credit in "Harley Bucks" that I used for a double seat. Down payment on the phone via Visa, and the bike was mine. I need to have the bike transported to my home, and the salesman hooked me up with a local who will do the move at a reasonable price. So far so good." - RL 06/02

"I’ve had hot and cold experiences with Danbury HD. First the bad news, I stopped in to look at Sportsters before I had checked Harley’s site. I spoke with one salesman, who was relatively nice, gave me prices which I later found to be a little over MSRP. I went back again, and he wasn’t there so I spoke with another guy, a rather slick fast talking “we really want your business” dude. He quoted prices on Sporties at $1500 over MSRP. When I asked him about MSRP he dodged around saying the dealership marks them up, etc. I wanted a 2002 red Sportster with lace wheels, but the price was too much ($8000), so I settled on a black w/cast wheels at 6995.  I went in several times after that, even put some money on one, but it seemed he kept pressuring me into insurance I didn’t need ($1000 extra). He got all offended when I told him my bank would do financing at 5.99% rather than the 9.99%. The final straw was when I saw an ad for Danbury HD that offered $500 in store credit if you bought a Harley from dealer stock. I asked him if I could get that. He said he couldn’t give me my standard Sportster 883 at the bargain price of 6995 (1500 over list), but had to charge me $7250 for that, then he could give me the 500 credit. At that point I said don’t call me, I’ll call you. A week later I bought a used 2000 with piles of chrome and add-ons. Two weeks later, when the slick one realized I wasn’t coming back, he called and offered me a red Sportster with lace wheels he just “found” at 6795 (about MSRP). By then it was too late, I’d already gotten one, and I told him if he was honest with up front he would have gotten the sale. HD of Danbury lost a $7000 sale!   Additionally, while I haven’t had service done yet, I wanted to find out what it would cost to check out my new bike, I was left standing around for 5 mins while the service guys just chatted right in front of me.  On the good side, the girls in the clothing sales dept are great, very helpful, and friendly. Though their hands were tied by HD’s ordering limitations, they directed me to other stores that would have what I wanted (leather jacket in my size). The Parts dept has been good too, friendly (except for one grumpy old dude), and at MSRP. So, I’ll buy my parts and fashion accessories there if they have what I need, but I doubt I’ll buy a bike there or recommend it to anyone." - JM 07/02

"I have read the negative comments by other potential customers of Danbury H-D and all I have to say is that when I started looking into purchasing an H-D motorcycle I went to Danbury H-D. The Salesman, who was more professional than at any other dealer I visited, was very patient and answered all my  questions. I was very impressed!,  and he was up front about the vehicle price.  I was able to get the Harley I wanted at a competitive price with no wait!  I highly recommend this Dealership." - MM 01/03

"While searching for a Heritage in '02, I stopped several times at Danbury Harley. They were very arrogant with their pricing, most bikes $2500 over MSRP. The salespeople were not completely knowledgeable about the equipment on the bikes or accessories that can be added. The good side was there was no hard-sell because they didn't appear to care about gaining new customers. This year they have moved to temp digs while they build a ridiculously huge, glossy dealership where their old building was. Guess who will pay? I have a good friend who also bought a Heritage 3 years ago and had a similar experience with Danbury. FYI, they don't offer a 10% discount for HOG. members like some dealers do. I wouldn't buy a comb at Danbury." - BZ 04/03

GENGRAS
East Hartford, CT
"I bought a new 2000 FXD this spring. Harley lists the MSRP in their pamphlet as $11,245 plus $240 for color option and $205 for shipping, total of $11,690. Dealer charged a "MSRP" of $13,200 with no separate listing for freight or prep., but did add local taxes & MVD charges to the $13,200. Seems they charged about 13% above Harley's MSRP. Sales and parts personnel seem helpful. Service didn't call to notify me of completion of the 1,000 mile checkup, had bike for 2 1/2 days till I called and asked. I was told he "thought" he called. Dealer gives 10% off parts for a year. I've ran across errors in HD's included instructions for installation of extras (good thing I got the service manual). Is this HD's way to boost the dealers service dept. money flow?" - BD 5/00

"Great, cooperative, friendly folks! The sales ladies are very enthusiastic and helpful. I ordered a 2001 FLSTFI in my choice of color and will hopefully receive it April-June 2001. I ended up paying approx. $1400 over MSRP (but I didn't have to wait over a year for it just to pay the 2002 price increase). I have always been treated well here. The place is well stocked with all the HD goodies. Definitely check these folks out!" - GW 3/01

"Ordered my FLSTFI on 02/06/01, received it 06/27/01 about $1400 over MSRP. Hartford H-D surprised us all and was sold and reopened as GENGRAS H-D on 06/26/01. Was worried about the new ownership in the middle of my order, but no problems. Appears to be same service and parts guys working there. New management and sales. Not sure what the new pricing scheme will be but definitely check these folks out." - GW 6/01

T.S.I H-D
Ellington, CT
"They are honest businessmen. I have purchased 2 dressers from them, and am taking delivery on a 3rd one shortly. Price seems to be MSRP, plus F/P and TTL. AFAIK, they require a refundable deposit to be put on a waiting list, which is run FCFS. The service dept. is good, and they stand behind their work. Although there is a dealership a lot closer to my home, I prefer to travel the extra distance to TSI, which is a dealer I trust." - DT 11/99

"Lot's of Harley goodies in stock. Nice selection of used big twins at reasonable prices. An order right now (02/01) for a new FLSTFI will result in receiving one in April 2002 at approx. $400 over MSRP... Sales staff were nice enough but appeared lethargic and it felt like they were doing you a favor by taking an order. With the over 1 year wait, unknown price increase and $400 over MSRP I took my cash over to Hartford Harley." - GW 02/01

"Just received my 2001 FLSTCI from TSI. Put my deposit of $500 back on April 17, 2001 and just picked it up on March 21, 2001. Paid exactly $530.00 over list. I couldn't be happier with the sales people. The bike came it when it was supposed to. This was my second waiting list, the first was through American Harley in Leominster, MA. who ended up telling me off because I complained to much about their lies. TSI is definitely worth the 40 mile trip from my house." - MP 4/01

"Almost every dealer in Connecticut is a crook they look you right in the eye and give you a price of $2,000 -$3,000 over MSRP. Only place that gave any kind of deal was TSI but they too have a mystery $400 Mark-up." - TR 9/01

"Unbelievable, I Stopped by TSI HD, today, 05/28/03, To look at a 2000 Dyna Wide Glide rumored to be there. Just by chance, they had a 2003 Black Anniversary Wide Glide that a customer had ordered, but was unable to complete the deal. I bought it for MSRP plus about $500 for Dealer prep. Of course I added about $1,700 in goodies, and the bike was still as much as $1,000 less than what other dealers were asking for the same bike without add-on's (after their additional markup). Sales rep was great, Parts guy was great, and service guy was great. Easy going, and easy to deal with. AND They could have easily tried to gouge me like other Dealers were attempting to do, but they didn't. The best experience at a motorcycle dealer ever." - KM 06/03

NEW LONDON CO
Groton, CT
"As far as I am concerned this is the only place to buy a new or used Harley in Connecticut. You can get a bike for MSRP with no" extras". Owner, sales and service people are honest, fair and knowledgeable ,what more can you ask?" - JB 03/02

"I purchased my 2000 Fatboy here after hearing nothing but phrase about this dealership,3 friends purchased their Harleys here as well.....we all paid MSRP. I can't say enough about this almost family-type dealership, they are aces in every aspect!...do yourself a favor and check them out." - RT 11/03

"This dealership takes the customer for granted.  I live close by and have been a frequent customer, but have had too many bad experiences--they have permanently lost my business.  My husband bought his Ultra Classic here--the day of pick-up, the paperwork was not ready and they kept him waiting 3 hours while they ran around doing other things.  When I was looking for a bike, they wouldn't even take the time to talk to me--I ended up buying my bike from Stamford HD where service and price were terrific.  Today, I was there trying to buy a gift certificate--with NO other customers in the store, I waited half an hour.  When I still wasn't helped, I walked out.  They have very few new bikes on the floor.  With TSI close by, I think it is worth the customers' time to go elsewhere.   NL County's attitude is "so what if they don't buy it, someone else will".   This is the worst dealership I have ever visited." - HH 12/03

H-D OF STAMFORD

"I bought my used low rider @ Stamford and every thing was great. sales, service, parts always deliver. and now with that new facility it looks like it will only get better. there clothing and collectibles are always @ a better price. paid $65 bucks for Barbie bike great deal) yeah for HD of Stamford." - DM 02/01

"I bought my 2000 Road King from these guys and they actually treated me like a customer.  Very polite and honest people that believe in service after the sell.  I traveled two hours to buy my bike there and I would do it again." - KC 3/01

"I just purchased my 1st bike here, a 2002 Sportster 883 Hugger. I actually left another dealership in the middle of purchasing a bike to come to Stanford because the other dealer was so rude. The sales staff at Stanford is extremely helpful and professional and makes sure that your buying experience is top notch. Their prices are slightly higher than some of the other dealers in the area, but you really get what you pay for, 1st class service and great people not only in the sales department but in the parts, service and clothing departments as well. They also have one of the best selections of bikes in the area." - EZ 9/01

"Class act all the way.  Started talking to them when they were in their old place, took delivery after they moved to the new digs, which are stunning.  Had to wait a few months, paid a fair price (but not quite MSRP), no hassles.  Service department is first-rate, parts well-stocked and well-displayed.  Could use more room in motorclothes.  Every dealer should be this good." - AR 09/02

"As a woman looking to buy a bike, I found the salespeople at some shops downright condescending.  HD of Stamford was the total opposite!   I just bought a 2003 Electra Glide here.  The service was terrific--the salesman was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful    I checked every dealer in CT and HD of Stamford had the best price, was willing to tell me the price over the phone and had lots of bikes in stock.  HD of Stamford still believes in good customer service.  I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new bike." - HH 10/02

"Initially, when shopping for a Heritage last summer, Stamford's prices were $2500+- over MSRP. Either way, I fell in love with a particular '03 they had and placed a $500 deposit. A few days later, I stumbled on the same bike for MSRP at different, not local dealer and got my deposit back which Stamford was quick and courteous about. Then, a couple of weeks after that I happened to stop at Stamford and ask them if anything had changed on pricing. The salesman, who had been very nice in general, said they would now sell the bike for MSRP +$200 for an additional year of warranty. For me, close enough because I prefer to buy from a local dealer to get improved service. Got my deposit back from the other dealer and finished the deal with Stamford. They have been very good and courteous so far in all transactions and I recommend them. The guys in service and sales are all very knowledgeable and deal with customers nicely. The dealer also sent a nice glass 100th anniversary engraving of my bike with VIN # for my desk. Nice touch." - BG 04/03

"found the staff laid back and easy to get to know. Purchased an 04 Heritage, off the floor and had it in my garage in 1 day.  Their chrome specialist will tell you not only what is good, but he will recommend against purchasing items he knows might be trouble.  The service department is AAA all the way around.  My only gripe is that I wish it was all on one floor." - AS 07/04

"My Bros and I were riding to Laconia when one of us had a front tire blowout. We thought we we lucky because we were close to Bridgeport H-D. We were dead wrong! While we tried to get our tire replaced we were treated like we had the plague. If some yuppie in a suit walked in all the staff would flock to him and forget about us. I know that a dealership wants to sell bikes, but they don't have to be that rude to the people just buying parts. In my opinion--Stay Away." - RJ 4/01

"Just bought my second bike from Bridgeport H-D.  Offered me nearly what I paid for my 1999 Sportster and MSRP on a 2001 FLHT.  After adding the radio, rear speakers and ultra tour pac with passenger backrest and a few minor goodies, the price was still less than what many dealers were charging for the out of the box FLHT. After 3 years of dealing with their service department, I find them to be very knowledgeable, and seem willing to do that little extra to keep me happy.  Prices are a little high but comparable to the area.  I have never had a problem that wasn't immediately addressed.  The new service manager and the service writers are outstanding." - MS 7/01

"Excellent dealer to do business with.  The whole store is friendly and helpful.  They have no problem selling to you out of state.  My deal was done all over the phone.  They give you an out the door price and an approximate ship date.  They are not MSRP, but they are not as high priced as other dealers in the area, plus you get an extra years warranty.  I've been sending every one I know that is looking to Bridgeport." - BG 06/03

"Very honest dealer, sells bikes for MSRP, everyone is a joy to deal with. When I bought my bike, I met everyone, got my picture taken with the bike, they delivered it 50 miles for me for free. I couldn't be more impressed." - JG 05/05

"Stopped in a Sat during their open house. The saleswoman called their second dealer and found a bike coming in in May that I wanted. I put down a deposit and was on my way. The hole deal took less than 25 min. A little over retail but no where near as bad as most places. I was very happy to deal with her." - BR 05/04
